Thank you for the info - I appreciate it.
Half price flights to GC are released tomorrow I’ll see if I can snag something for the long weekend 😂

Damn 1 person per 2square metres.
What does that mean 7 handed max?

Yes 7 handed - more hands/hr. None of that extortionate $5 seating fee that Crown loves to charge either.

Returning Friday 23rd April. 4-12 tables initially, maybe 2/5, probably 5/10. Around 24 tables on weekends. Probably 6-max players per table initially.

Legend thanks for update - great news even though I prefer full-ring over 6-max

If someone who goes tomorrow could confirm the rake that would be great

has anyone played there yet? I'm flying down for work tomorrow and would like to play

details on wait times/any protocol for registering would be gratefully received

Star Sydney has been open for about a month and it's been surprisingly good. 2/5-10 only at all tables and only 6pm til 2am so far. action has been great

Wait List

This was uploaded as reply to crown poker. 2pm on top right so im assuming this was either Saturday or Sunday. Either way the wait list is huge after just being open for only 2 hrs

Thanks. 2-5 looks manageable though. I’ll try my luck tomorrow

Friend went at about 7pm on Saturday, they finally got called up over 4 hours later by which time they had gone home. Bugger that.

By 7.15 both 2/5 and 1/3 had less than 5 on the lists

Hopefully this means some 1/3 players will sit on the 10/20 out of frustration

In all seriousness the rest of the casino is chock a block, not sure why they can’t do at least 8 handed.

Will go for my first time in a year soon, hope I don’t need to wait 4 hours LOL

There is no doubt that the poker room being closed for so long, and now the limited tables and short-handed play have all been decisions made by Crown, they have been nothing to do with covid or government restrictions.

At Crown now and boy do I regret it. The list is not moving at all. It seems like unless you get here much earlier in the evening, don’t waste your time coming.

Absolutely no reason to enforce 6-max on all tables.

EDIT: the list has started to move a little

Not sure if it’s been posted buy rake is 10% capped at 15 now on all games.

Pre-Covid you could check online to see what games were running and how many were on each list. Australian casinos need an app like Bravo Poker Live in the US.

Not sure how many more 2+ hour waits to get on a table I’m willing to endure. I have no problem with 6-max but it’s BS that it’s due to medical advice. There is no covid in the community, and if anyone in the poker room did have covid, everyone would be a close contact regardless if tables were heads-up or 11-handed.

This is going to be painful for customers probably for the rest of 2021 at least. Thanks to stupid monopolies, poker in Australia has never been good, now it’s even worse.

it’s actually brilliant in Sydney. Best it’s ever been imo.

Idk man, I’ve been to Crown 4 times since it re-opened and I’ve never waited longer than 15 minutes for 2/5. What time are you arriving and are you flexible around games?

3 6-max tables of 1/3 with 30 on the list
2 6-max tables of 2/5 with 30 on the list
