I used to think that too when I first saw they did that, but like someone else mentioned people will slide those racks in easily and often. Speeds the game up a lot. Plus there's only 8 or 9 seats and most the time two people are walking so there is always plenty of room at the table. It's not like it's a 10 handed table all night and you're cramped.

So right and 7 handed is always the razors edge. So often, once that 3rd person gets up the table nit says "I'm out till the players come back"

I'm curious what hourly limon thinks is possible at 5/10 nl. And for 10/20nl. I played for only a month there and it was two years ago. Have things changed much in those games?

In general I like short handed games but in the raked commerce games short handed play is often lighting money on fire.

playing short handed at Commerce below 10/20 NL is not smart in general though and you should avoid it as much as you can if you care about winning money. They never give you a rake reduction past what it says on the table's card. So, "being a nit" is actually correct in this case.

There's a lot of threads about this in, I think, the math forums.

I've seen the old ones, unless there are some new ones I can't find, but there doesn't seem to be much new info on 5/10 and 10/20nl winrates since 2014 (most posts are older than that).

I'm interested in possible/speculative Commerce winrates specifically, not just 5/10 and 10/20nl nationwide. Again, I could be bad at searching and am only coming up with old threads.

used to offer 1-2 tables and it went daily, but often broke up in the middle of the night

I've been checking Bravo app and it looks like the hi/lo split PLO game doesn't run much anymore. Only this new PLO high. Really a shame as the split game was a good way to make some $$$ from players who really didn't have a clue about optimal low strategy.

How have the 5/10 and 10/20 nl games changed in the last two years?

Can you guys elaborate on why playing short handed is less profitable than full? I don't understand at all. I thought only nits who don't know how to adjust thought that

You're paying a higher percentage of the rake. Your opponents need to be weaker than average to make the same amount of money, and generally the weakest players don't want to play when it gets shorthanded.

A number of nits who would only buy in for 400 moved down to the 5/5 game. Maybe that's been longer than two years ago though.

The 5/10 game can be great or terrible, just depends on the table. I can only speak for weekends though.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to live at the Commerce for less than $160 / day poker rate? When I've asked they don't seem to have an extended stay special rate.
I'm looking to stay for a month at a time. I won't be sharing a room with anyone. I'm sick of AirBnBs.

If you have a card they will give you discounts on food. They had a food voucher special I think in September? not sure about this month.

If it was a 100bb game I could see where you're coming from. This is Commerce though, the money goes in middle so much the racks aren't that much of a problem.

That is not the reason

What is 100-200 1 STUD? How is that game?

Also, what's 200-400 2 - COMBO? How is that game?

I imagine these higher limit games are filled with mostly pros—more so than NL/PLO?

What's up with the 'promo' being next to the 5/5 game in Bravo?

I'm coming to LA from London UK in Jan staying with some friends in Studio City. I can see Commerce & Bike are pretty much equidistant (~20 miles) from where I'm staying. I've been to Commerce a few times previously but would like to know where I'd be better off playing for a 5/10nl game (or plo - even 30/60lhe) on say on a Wed/Thurs/Fri/Sat night - where I can jump about in games. I would assume Commerce because of its sheer size/game offerings, but are Bike games any good (I watch the Live At The Bike and they seem fun). I also didnt enjoy Commerce the few times I've been, it was a dump and the people miserable (much like anywhere) is the Bike any better, what other options do I have? I will have Bravo app to check but overall opinions would be nice.

Thanks
