lol why am i the only person that pays $2? Did you ask them why it's $3 if the sign says $2? I looked at the sign yesterday and it still said $2. But that's at the front valet. Are you going to the front or back valet?

Yeah, I'm not sure why you're having these problems with the valet. First off- what kind of car are you driving? Is it really so nice that their desire to leave it up front is at least semi-valid?

And to Rakes it's $2, I promise. Was just there last night. Same question as sportsbettor- you're parking in the front, right? They have a sign right there that says $2.

I park at where the main card room is at, next to the 1-2 40NL entrance. I only do valet where I can't find parking and don't feel like driving around 5 mins looking for parking. I swear I keep getting charged $3! The floorman David said he had no clue about valet when I asked him. I just paid $3 and didn't tip

'09 m3... I was told that I need to tell the supervisor each time that I want it in the 2$ lot if they're insisting on parking it up front. When I asked about the difference btwn the lots they said the 2$ was further and you'd have to wait longer to get your car (valid) and it's up front so they can keep an eye on it (lol).

Do you mean the front lot where the casino driveway/hotel entrance is, or that side lot (near the entrance to the low limit area)? Both seem pretty nice compared to wherever they valet in the back (must be deep, because the whole VIP lot and high limit side lot take up all the immediate area).

I always wonder how much the lambos have to pay to get parked right outside (or if they do that as a courtesy, just to have some show cars on display).

So I checked the back valet (by the asian games/top section) today and there's a sign saying $2 (its mostly obscured by shrubs but its visible on the side of the desk thingy by the valet room). And there's definitely a sign at the valet in the front (hotel) entrance that says $2. However, after reading Clubkids post I just now realize that there's a valet near the low-limit area (ive seen the valet lot there just never put 2+2 together). Maybe they charge $3 for that lot??

And buying a lambo is already mega-spew if you aren't super rich. Any spew on valets after that is pretty inconsequential.

There are three valets? I've been going there pretty much every weekend for years, wonder how I missed that.

That's what's awesome about Commerce, there's always some new area (interior or exterior) to discover! As with the side lot, I was amazed the first time I saw all the $40 buy-in games upstairs running as overflow on the weekend. Was also surprised when I discovered the hair stylist on premises. And also that the steak restaurant there is actually really, really good!

Steak restaurant is long gone, it's now a NY deli. That space changes theme every 6-12 months, it seems. It's never been successful since everyone eats at the tables.

I just heard about the spa on the second floor. For $20 you can shower, watch TV or take a nap in a sleeping area. Didn't go check it out but the guy who was telling me about it uses it frequently and loves it. He said you could add a 1/2 hour massage for $16.

Does anyone know if the hotel will has a day rate on the gym?

So I think I figured out the valet mystery. I drove by the side lot valet (lot nearest Telegraph by the low limit room) and asked them and they do in fact charge $3 to park cars there. The other two valets charge $2.

ya the deli will fail as well. to make money in that spot you need a recognized chain. low end five guys or in n' out would do great, high end a palms or ruths chris would do great as well. no one wants to pay for/stop gambling for perceived "casino food" when casino food is free. they might be able to get away with a fresh/open kitchen noodle shop like outside the venetian poker room or the one at bellagio since there are so many asians and the free asian food is borderline inedible imo.

I'm not sure that anything would work in that space, but one thing's for sure is that whatever is there should not be full-service. They're never going to be able to get people from the surrounding communities to make it a destination restaurant (that was the big plan with the idiotic supper club, and there's just no demand within 10 cities for a nice restaurant) and they will always be competing with the casino for what the players eat. I don't think a Palm or Ruth's Chris would work in that spot.

I had an idea a few years ago to put a Starbucks franchise either where the empty clothes store is or where the snack bar was (the one that just moved), I think that would kill.

Starbux would be good , especially you have someone walking around the room in a Starbucks apron taking orders

I miss the blizzberry girl

I miss the Blizzberry girls much more than the Blizzberry. Starbucks girls would be great if they dressed like like th Blizzberry girls.

Yeah, the Blizzberry girls were great to have as long as you didn't order Blizzberry from them. Would typically show up half-melted. Big flaw in the plan.

On another note, anyone know what they're going to do with the old snack bar space now that they've moved that a few feet over?

Damn I am dated, so that's the same snack bar that moved over? I kind of liked it where it was, a nice retreat in the low limit haven. Too bad that restaurant is gone too, it really was great the one time I tried it, but I agree, hard for a full-service (and high end) restaurant to fit in there. That space is odd anyway, it seems like it's in the front, yet no one ever seems to see it or what's in it.

I bet a good ol' gift shop would work great (with a poker theme of course), but I guess they make a lot more renting it out to the next guy who wants to take a shot with the space.
