I'm guessing they need to amend the plan of operation to do that, which would require approval from the racing commission.

According to their twitter, and bravopokerlive app/website they are already spreading 40/80 mix

John Morgan put up $100,000 prize pool for a 750 person tournament. $130 entry fee with $100 to charity and $30 to house. Here is the cool part, the winner gets 10% of John's payout in the $1 million WSOP tournament.

So, $130 entry fee gets you +EV AND a shot at over $1 million dollars.

HOW COOL IS THAT???!!!!

I think the 10% that Morgan wins goes into the entire prize pool, not just to the winner of the tournament. It could make for a great prize pool if he ships the $1 Million Buy-in tourney at the WSOP.

Was planning on signing up for this tomorrow, wonder how long it will take for this tourney to reach the cap considering how +EV it is

Came here to post about the overlay tournament. Signed up for it last week and there are still plenty of seats left. Surprised more people aren't jumping on this. It is guaranteed +EV with the possibility of being ++++++EV.

Will be fun sweating Mr. Morgan in the Big One.

Not that its worth much at this point but I'd like to publically apologize for having the first post of this thread be about Canterburys players not washing their hands :/

It happens everywhere, and I really have no idea why I posted it. Canterbury is a great, clean place and I really shouldnt have bitched about it. My apologies for possibly tarnishing their name...I tried to get a mod to edit that part out but they wouldnt do it for me.

I may be visiting MN soon, and I had thought that CP had 15/30 and 30/60 LHE. I just checked the Bravo website, which shows neither, but instead one 20/40 LHE game. Is this normal? Did they recently change their game structure?

Yep. 20/40 and 40/80 now. 40/80 is usually LHE/O8 mix.

Any particular reason why they changed? Kinda bummed, I have always enjoyed and done better at 15/30 than 20/40, plus that is a such a large jump from 8/16 that it makes it tougher for players to move up.

They made the change after our betting increased from $60 max to $100 max. The change from 15 to 20 was the result of what the players wanted, they will still spread a 15 game if the interest is higher for the 15 than the 20, but there always seems to be more interest now for the 20 than the 15.

Does anyone here play the 6/12 or 8/16 games? Is the rake beatable at these limits?

The 6/12 and 8/16 are both very beatable. Also, the 20/40 usually has 2 tables going.

The hard part about CBY for new players is learning the donating regs vs the winning regs. We all know each other, and new players often get caught in the confusion. There is typically only 1-3 non-regs per table on weekend and nearly exclusively regs during the week at these limits.

I don't get there as often as I would like but I sat 20/40 for about ten hours yesterday and the game is quite beatable.

Yes but tbh if you can beat the 8/16 then you should play 20/40.

Did you play on Thursday night at all? I sat 6/12 hold'em while waiting for the 6/12 O8 game to open up. From what I could tell, both games seemed to be pretty much full of regs, many of whom appeared to be donators rather than winners. The HE was such an easy game that I almost didn't want to leave when I got called for O8. Also, kind of funny to see it in my first session back, but I ran across a couple angle-shooters in the O8 game. I'll def have to keep my eyes open when that game is running.

And you're certainly right about getting a little confused. In the 6/12 HE I folded a couple weak pairs post flop expecting players betting/calling to have something better than just Ace high (which I saw win multiple pots at showdown).

You're probably right, but I'm not a full-time player anymore and I wanted to feel out the mid-stakes games before I jump to 20/40 or the 30/60 mix. I think I saw someone say the 30/60Mix is only a HE/O8 rotation. Do you play those stakes at all?

The 30/60 mix is an entirely different game from the 20/40. Try the 20/40 first - you won't regret it.

According to the Bravo Poker App, there is 4000-30 Survival going right now. Is this for real? Any updates? What are they playing, 5-10?

I'm going to be there in early October for the Ultimate Overlay tourney. It is way off my usual path. What kind of cash games can I expect to be running as well?

Structures are out for the Fall Poker Classic series on their web page. What does everyone think?

Looks like they added 2 levels (150/300 and 25K/50K) to their normal larger tournaments. They also upped the 1K ME to 20K starting chips and 60min levels for final table. Also, the $300 start with 15K (12K last year I think). Not the changes most people were hoping for, but it's a start. Running Aces is putting pressure on them with amazing structures. It's cool they added the $300 Ante Only.

I'll be playing most of the Friday and weekend noon tournaments.
