Make it one step better take the jitney (little blue buses you see all over) for $5.00 round trip and not the cab. Now down to $40.50

I'll be back on Wed... I have to take my son-in-law and nephew for their annual winter donkfest. Most likely I will sit with them at 3-6 (kill me now please) for a while, before venturing into the the 10 game (if it goes and it is good) or try and get a PCHE game started. If neither are happening... I'll just piss off the rocks in the 3-6

There was a nineinchal sighting, but he didn't sit with us I can say no more!

Anyone planning to be there this coming Wednesday... look me up.
Was great playing with you, the rest of our crew, punkass, CCx (great meeting you), and everyone else.

There was also drama aimed at me cause I refused to agree to make the original PCHO game PCO and got a few shots aimed at me unnecessarily. I just ignored it.

And thanks to IFSATG for living up to his name and misreading my hand with K3 I should be there the next couple days in the 10...no reason it won't go Wednesday. Pop by or text me if you need saving from 3/6.

I'll be there before lunch on Wed, but I have to sit with the "kiddies" for a bit in 3-6. It's an annual tradition <sigh> to bring them down during this week. Come on in and re-straddle my straddle and we can put the BOR's on uber-tilt. After an hour or so, I'll leave and sit 10 with ya, or we can try to start PCHE.

As for your K3 hand... LOL I was sure you said flush and Jeanie was yapping in my ear and every other hand I made went down the crapper, so why not add to the misery and muck AK?!?!?!?!

I was at The B Sat night into Sund.

I'm on an "ANYTHING but NLHE" kick so I went to play pink O8 or PLO. I got there at about 6:30PM Sat and the PLO game had just broken. I put my name on the 1-2 PLO list (3 deep) and Pink H/O8 (7th with one table running).

While waiting, I decide to torture myself at a 1-2 NLHE table. Fortunately I was rescued after only 15 mins when then called a second (must move) Pink H/O8 game. I played that for just over 2 hours and turned a rack into $440. $190 up. I left cause at appox 9:30 they called the PLO game. I played til 4pm Sund. Took $1,900 out of the game (brag). I was in the 5 seat. Hello to anyone that was playing...it was def a good time. My friend just texted me and said the game finally broke. That's close to 38 hours. 9:30 Sat til 11am Monday. Wow...hope that becomes standard.

Good signs:

A THIRD Pink H/O8 game started and got 7 players I think. 2 full games and a 3rd 70% full is VERY rare.

PLO running close to 40 interupted hours

Damn I love that room. I'll be back this Thursday night and Friday. See you all then.

PS, I didn't get to play with any of you regular Pink Chippers (some ARGERs ??) as you guys were at the main table. I was second on the list to come over and never did...maybe i'm glad I wasn't as the money was probaly easier to get at my must move table. I already know Todd (he was in seat 8) but look foward to meeting some of you other guys/girls sometime soon.

I thought taxes were only $5/night? That is all I was charged last week.

Using comps to pay for room charges is hit or miss for me. Trip before, told the front desk I did not want my charges paid from my comps - they took my charges from my comps. So this last trip, I told them I wanted to use my comps to pay the charges - they charged everything to my credit card.

Point being, do not be surprised when the opposite of what you requested happens.

Were you sitting to the left of a girl who was watching movies(This guy had like 2k)? Or were you the very funny guy with a hat and glasses who had 7s full vs the said girl on 9697. I was there about 5 am in the 9 seat.

Why only 15 mins? Were you actually in the 2 seat? Are you confusing 2 and 9? Left of the dealer? I remember a young asain kid there for a short period of time.

...and thanks. I think I'm above avg. PLO is new to a bunch of people. Much like NLHE in 2003-2006. When a PLO game runs, it's usually juicy.

A firm rule needs to be in place...whether it's a time limit or dealer changes or buttons or whatever....and the rule needs to be enforced.
When you asked the dealer how long you have for dinner, he probably meant how long you can stay on the dinner list for, not how long you can leave a stack on the table unattended. No casino will officially allow you to leave a stack for this long....often they will will overlook the "rule" for a while, but this rule is usually 20-30 minutes.

ahahahha wow. Was definitely mixing up the seats/ Am i stupid or what? Yes I was in the 2 seat. I had my eye on the PLO game all night but then I saw this girl at my 1-2 NLHE table make some terrible plays so I stayed until I realized how bored I was. Then my friend who isn't really a poker player wanted to go. That PLO game has killed me emotionally. I know I am a very good PLO player, I have won a lot of money and learned the theory behind the game. I know to play tight, but god do I run terrible in that game. I barely getting starting hands, and when I do, I miss. I even miss when I fold. When I get Aces, they get cracked AIPF. I know that game is ultra soft, people play way too many hands preflop to be profitable. Sorry to rant, hopefully I'll catch you down there soon, I'm likely to be there on New Years Day and the weekend.

Just one player's thoughts, your milage may vary.

Lee
The issue is the limper is always calling only a portion of the pot so the #'s become "strange" preflop.

In 1,2 blinds the potting structure -- assuming blinds in and first to act pots it... and its repotted twice...

You call 3, it is potted to 7, someone can raise to $24 (34 pot) and the next guy raise to $82 (116 pot).

a b c d e f
Pot Call new Pot Pot Raise Tot Bet New Pot
a+b =c b+d c+d
3 2 5 (a+b) 5 (c) 7 (b+d) 10
10 7 17 17 24 34
34 24 58 58 82 116

Some place's either done count the SB or assume SB plus BB = $4.

If you don't count the SB in the PF betting (so you are essentially calling the pot), it's a raise to 6, repot to $20 (28 pot), and re-raise to $68 (96 pot):

If you count both blinds as $2 to keep the #'s even.. you are calling only $2 into a $4 pot... so a raise to 8, repot to $28 ($40 pot), and re-rasie to $96 (136 pot).

So no matter how you do it, the #'s are a bit cloogy.

On top of that, someone can raise only 1/2 the pot.. so no matter how you do it, the #'s get very tricky.

Only in 5/5 PLO are the #'s easier to do.

That's why in PL games you are allowed to ask the dealer what the POT total is... in NL games they can't.

I only thought you could surrender before you decide to hit/stick..

Some places let you surrender after hitting/sticking (and before dealer flips)?

The PLO #'s are slighty wrong.

The blinds count as 2-2. Opening raise is to $8 (add $2 to this if there are any limpers before the first raise).

Assuming no limpers and one raise (to $8) the second POT is to $28 total.

2 + 2 + 8 + 8 (the second raisers "call" of 8) = 20...so he's putting in $28 total.

I also see someone said you can't protect big hands early. Well, you can NEVER do that in PLO. That's the essense of the game. It's certainly not a pre-flop game...and to be honest, that puts more skill in the game...not the bad luck of getting my AAXX cracked cause I can only make it $8 or $28 preflop.

If the game is 1-2-5 PLO or 2-5 PLO, you still can't protect your hands preflop. The stacks are effectively the same so the same calls for $8 and $28 will be made for $20 and $55....whatever the 2-5 would be....not sure if the blinds are counted as 5-5 or 7 total. Making the game bigger doesn't change all that much.

Ask any pro (I'm not by a long shot...I'm just saying) and they will say PL-Anything involves much more skill (AKA post flop game) than NL

it's a great game and I hope it runs more often. I look forward to playing New years eve at like 1am (please be running!!!) all day into Friday afternoon.

It's a GREAT game and I hope it goes more often.

wrong
the dealer was wrong as well though. he should have explained the rules better.
at the borgata, at the extreme minimum, you can be gone for 30 minutes before getting picked up. if you play one hand with a dealer that just sat down, you can be gone for 1 hour in a rake game, and 1 hour 20minutes or so in a time charge game.

I believe I was correct for 1-2 if both blinds are considered $4 for pot betting.

If you count both blinds as $2 to keep the #'s even.. you are calling only $2 into a $4 pot... so a raise to 8, then a repot to $28 (8 call making pot 20, and 20 re-raise) for a $40 total pot

A re-raise is to $96... a $28 call (pot is $68) and a 68 raise for a 136 pot.

Hey guys,

I have to say the PLO game was way awesome at the Borg....and I was (un)fortunate to be one of the guys who played from 1 pm Saturday straight thru till about 1 pm Sunday.

Pippen33 - you were the guy from KOP right? And ACDAWG, you were the dude with the g/f in Brazil? I was sitting in the 8 seat on the early morning table (57) to the left of the young asian guy to whom I donked off most of my stack at about 1 pm on Sunday.

I had fun playing. I had been up and down day/morning/evening...It ended up a small losing session (only 300 bucks). But overall, have to say the players were fun and there were some pretty skilled ones who came and went throughout the day.

Stan - wish you could have some kind of High hand/Bad Beat deal or promotion for the PLO Omaha (H) game(s), I think it would possibly bring more players to the table if you did that.
