Never mind, looking at the back there are many places that don't qualify.

Man, that sounds really familiar.

Does anyone have a list of restaurants this could actually be used at (besides the buffets).
Hopefully they left one or two good ones. I like both the sushi place and The Continental on the Pier.

Another option is to go by bus. I'm not a fan of Greyhound, but they do offer transportation.

I recently got an email and a flyer in the mail informing me that if I will receive a coupon book worth over $400, designed specifically for " my tastes". I can only pick it up between 4/2 and 4/6. The offer is because of my renewed platinum status.

Anyone else ever pick one of these up? Just curious what was in it, hoping for slot play.

Yes, I have and they are pretty good. They do this giveaway every year for diamond and platinum renewals. Coupons are valid usually til the end of June and have offers for free and discounted food, merchandise, drinks, and entertainment. I would recommend being there to receive yours.

I recently moved to NJ from Canada and moved to a small town to boot, so I haven't come close to figuring out all of the different public transportation options available. I'm hoping someone more familiar can help me find an easy option to Atlantic City. Right now, my husband always drives, but he's going to be busy with some conferences in the coming weeks and I'm interested in keeping busy and using some of my comped rooms at Bally's.

I live in Washington Boro, 07882, which is North/Central and close to Clinton, near 78. I *can* drive, but my driving on the busier roads is still a bit timid (UNLIKE MY PLAY) and would prefer not to. However, if there's a bus/train/subway station nearby, I'd absolutely park and ride. I don't care about parking fees. I don't want to drive to Newark or anywhere like that - too big, too scary!

I've tried using Google Maps for some transit options, but the results I get are for 7+ hour trips that get me to AC in the evening. I am SURE there are better options - any suggestions?

I'm not too familiar with the driving options coming from New Jersey. However, Academy Bus Lines has buses from Cheesquake that go to Atlantic City. I don't know how close that is to you but you might want to check it out on their website. Maybe driving to Cheesquake and then taking the bus is a better option for you than driving all the way to Atlantic city.

Your best options are probably either Greyhound Bus, http://www.greyhound.com/ , or NJ Transit, http://www.njtransit.com . Personally, I would check out the NJ Transit site first, but that's only because of the bad experiences I've had with Greyhound.

On the other hand, Greyhound might have trips that not only provide transportation, but also give slot dollar and/or other comps that can effectively make it a free trip.

There are other bus lines as well, but I'm not familiar with them from your area. Google is your friend here, in trying to find such things.

Good luck!

What kind of bad experience did you have with greyhound?

Been to the bally's 1-3 lately? Not sure what stakes you usually play but it seems to be the perfect game between the other 2 stakes and the Winrate is probably close to 2-5..

Greyhound tends to run late sometimes, and the busses are not well kept. There have been some older ones I've been on that do not offer WiFi or seating room, and some of the other riders can be annoying. But I guess that goes with any bus line? On the plus side, they are cheap and do offer casino incentive bonuses.

Was at Bally's a few days ago and they had two 1/3 games going. The game resembles the old 2/5 game when the buy in was $200- $500 which is the 1/3 buy in.

5) Parking fee: Paying $5 to park, after I paid about $60 in rake today, is a bummer. How we don’t get free parking blows my mind.
Been in casinos and poker rooms all over the country and AC is the only place that makes you pay to park. It's so nickle and dime it's insulting. This and the horrible people at Borgata made me decide two years ago to never visit AC again. I only live in NY 7 mos a year and the other mos I play in SD and LV. Where they actually believe in chip runners and tableside food. I will play FW for the next two years until NY legalizes gaming.

I feel like the $5 parking fee is a relic from the days when AC had no competition. Kind of like paying $5 for bottled water at a theme park- they do it because they can. Now that there is competition in PA and DE they should probably reevaluate the decision to charge for parking.

Part of the $5 parking fee ($3?) goes directly to the city.

Why don't you save time, gas, parking and play in PA?

the parking fee is a city tax... the casino's don't get any of it (unless they charge more than 5 bucks). it's why you can get a transfer and other casino's don't mind honoring it.

If free parking is the key to having a successfull poker room, or casino, then the Atlantic Club is going to be the hottest place in town!

With the biggest poker room.

Yup folks, you read it here first!!
