Tropicana and Harrah's
Have the same owner,
So expect similar hours, etc.

Oooh...it would be pretty sweet if Ocean did poker again. Aside from not having poker, I really like their place and what they've done there.

Thanks! That's swell news. Really do prefer the boardwalk casinos for fishiness and good summer vibes.

A dealer told me they may open
5/15 or 5/21. But nothing firm yet.
A cocktail waitress in the loop
Told me later this month.
The 5/7 date was optimistic,
But good to know management
Is hoping for a May opening.
Yesterday I saw plexiglass on
Only 2 tables and
Only half the carpet shampoo

The governor announced that all statewide restrictions will be lifted I think around May 15th and everything is back to full capacity. That should mean technically the barriers can come down but the question is how long will it take them to take them away....then we can start working on getting rid of the useless masks next.

They're removing specific capacity limits, but not distancing requirements. So permitted capacity isn't 100%, it's however many can fit six feet apart.

If you request a comp voucher for food but don’t end up using it all, can it be put back on your card?

Also I wonder if you can print out the comp voucher and bring it to the front desk to pay for the hotel fees

Either way this update seems pretty annoying

It can't be put back into your account, so if you don't use the full amount you lose it, and there's no way to transfer comps to pay for anything that has to do with any part of a room charge or even room service when I tried to do it the other day.

When you ask for a paper comp for food, are they giving you a comp that is more than available on your card balance? Do you they zero your comp balance when they do?

I've never asked for a paper comp, as I usually have comps almost always. So this is foreign to me.

If it's like Bellagio, you go to the shift mgr, ask them for $X in comp, they check your balance, deduct $X from it, print out a form, sign it, and give it to you.

You need to go to the shift desk in the back, tell them the restaurant name and the amount you want. It gets subtracted from what we've earned. The comps aren't going on our cards anymore from poker, they stay in bravo until we request to use them and we have no way to see how much we have in there.

And if you don't use it all or your dinner reservations get canceled you lose it correct

IIRC it's good for a couple days, so you can wait and use it somewhere/sometime else, but it's not an unlimited window, no. And no, you don't get change or anything, it's use it or lose it. So you kinda have to guess how much you're going to spend in advance, which is probably the most annoying thing.

At Bellagio, if you get tableside food service from the runner, you can just give them your card and they will handle the comp side for you (using the exact amount I am guessing, but who knows really), which is more convenient, but then you are limited to just the places they will serve from, and you're tipping them for the service. I have no idea if Borg (or MGM) has or will offer that sort of food service. Borgata at least doesn't have the same dedicated runners that Bellagio does, I don't think.

Borgata doesn't even put the comps on our cards anymore, and it's an MGM like Bellagio. That's how they did it when I played at MDL, which was a hassle, and the reason when Borgata opened I left there with like 350 on my card that got wiped away.
