Well, considering they've reopened their poker rooms in many other markets where they have casinos, I have to think they will reopen sooner rather than later.

Not necessarily true considering the only poker room in AC that consistently generates revenue is Borgata.

Plus, now that Tropicana, Bally's and Harrah's all have the same ownership, they may only open one of them and it's anyone's guess as to when that may happen.

Bally's seems to make the most sense simply because of the ample spacing.

Bally's is being bought out by a hedge fund
And they are still hashing the details
So unlikely they'll open a card room soon

I missed: the deal excludes the Wild Wild West casino
which would be transferred to Caesars Atlantic City.

The Wild West section will become caesars at the end of the year, so it will probably open under caesars

cant see them hurrying to reopen that WSOP room. what a waste of potential between the brand and size of the room. up there with some of the worst rooms in the area.

Bally's is being bought by Twin River, which is a gaming company with 10 properties, which is partially owned by a hedge fund (32%).

If I remeber the press realease correctly, after rehab they do plan on havng a poker room open

Also, all of their existing properties will have the Bally's name on them.

What prevents other poker rooms in AC from opening now that Borgata opened up its poker room and is running it without serious issues? It would be nice for Harrahs to open its room and relieve some pressure from Borgata's waiting lists on weekends.

Likely because poker generates very little revenue for the casino and they may feel it’s not worth the effort to open the room especially with social distancing concerns. It sucks because it would be great to have options when it comes to playing poker in AC but it is what it is.

How’s the vibe in AC? Is it dead outside of borgata? Say Thursday-Sunday

I don’t smoke but this is great news. Hopefully the drug dealers across the street from where I used to live will now go out of business

Enjoy your favorite Borgata restaurants your way!

BorgataEats allows you to order meals from Borgata eateries—like Old Homestead Steak House, BetMGM Sportsbook & Bar, Noodles of the World, Bread + Butter, and more—from the comfort of your guest room. Simply place your order, pick it up at the designated restaurant, and enjoy!

You have two options for ordering BorgataEats:

Call 609-317-8EAT (8328) or order online to place an order for pick-up at the restaurant.

They are really trying to destroy the casinos businesses not to mention every bar and restaurant in NJ. Doesn’t make me want to drive the 3 hrs to ac anytime soon.

IMO just a means to force closure without taking responsibility for a closure.

Take with a grain of salt because I'm no doctor or researcher, but my understanding is that indoor venues are accounting for the majority of transmission, and bars and restaurants are causing 4X more transmission then non-eateries (including gyms which I thought would be the worst possible.)

It seems being indoors, and removing your mask to consume food and drink is a serious issue with transmission.....Although the above comment about forcing a shutdown without taking accountability also makes a lot of sense.

Id say likely true. It sounds like no liquid on the floor period would slaughter this covid uptick.

Or its just "hey look i did something" from the corp. Office.

To make it a.c. centric its winter 10-5am freeze, lol, freeze is going to only hurt a handful of places and people. I can drink inside and not donate.

I predict poker potentially getting shut down soon if numbers continue to rise.

Poker or casinos in general? Is there any evidence that poker specifically is contributing to the increasing cases?
