The 40/80 mix game lately has been Limit Omaha Hi/Hold em. That sounds horrendous.

I think today they were actually playing limit holdem and pot limit Omaha.

damn I would have played plo and flh. I played 3/5 a bit this year there and it's just always so nitty. Haven't went in about a month and went today and left once I saw it's the same damn old nits.

I wish they would run some plo.

Ahh, it's possible I misunderstood. Watched a couple hands and looked like limit.

How big is the PLO side of the game?

PLO has went quite a bit last few weeks (10-20
And 25-25). I can guarantee you if you want to play PLO just tell hi limit floor to start a list and you'll have a game as long as your willing to start short.

We've been playing it two ways: (1) pot limit ((up to 500 at a time)) and (2) cap PLO, where your all in once you put in $700 at a time, but you can still only bet a max of 500 at any given point.

are they still only getting 75-80 people for the daily tourneys at 11:15? Seems like it's a little slow for those right now, I thought they used to get 120-140...maybe I am wrong though.

Hello everyone,

I have done some research on the general 'Brick and Mortar' section and the general consensus seems to be that the best time to hit the live games is Thurs-Sat nights. But everyone also seems to agree that ultimately it depends on the Casino. How is the 1/2 play at CAZ? Is there an optimal time or day when play is soft/juicy? Any other general advice for first timer at CAZ(for time in a casino for that matter..)?

My first advice would be to actually read the thread you're posting in. If you had read back even a few pages you would have seen that there are no 1/2 games here, so you definitely haven't done your homework.

That being said, I imagine in almost every game in every casino, night games are generally better than day games, and weekend games are better than weekday games.

I actually read the last 30 pages and did not see any mention of no 1/2 games. I also read the first 10 pages and found this on the very first page

What is the lowest limit offered at CAZ? Does any Casino in AZ offer 1/2? Ill continue to read through this thread, but if any one could chime in, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

That was from April 2010. They now have a 2/3 game with a $300 max bet and $100-$300 buy-in.

Let's go back in time and visit April 2010 before the new poker room opened:

Not much has changed in appearance other than adding the bigger TVs on the far wall and obviously the central scoreboard TVs and obviously lol blackjack.

How the hell can you play 25/25 plo with a $500 cap? Seems dumb. But if there is something like 5/5 or something where cap won't be affected too much i would play.

I take it you don't play live 10/25 plo.

That's irrelevant. A poker game can't be inherently dumb because you don't like it.

I would be very interested in this. For whatever reason, I'm like kryptonite to waiting/interest lists

Two limpers, u raise to 125. BB calls and both limpers call (pot 500). Bet pot on flop, two callers (pot 2000). Bet 500 on turn, the first villain says "so much money in the pot I call". Second villain says "I only called cuz he did". River card is a blank 2club's. You bet half pot and get called by 22xx.

Yeah it's different. But it still can be profitable.

then it's just a different game, and less skill. I'd rather flip coins or play 5/5 where it wouldn't be too bad.

A good 5/5 has plenty if bets over 500 once decently deep.
Is it 500 cap per round or can someone bet 500 and someone else raise 500?

It is played like limit with one bet and 3 raises. So the initial bet could be the minimum up to the maximum.
