I might play. I won't be properly bankrolled but wouldn't mind playing a tournament to get an idea of what its like to play IRL. What is the scene like in the 101? Friendly to beginners or am I going to learn some hard lessons fast?

It's very friendly to newcomers, especially since they're hungry now that Graton opened. The games are generally softer than the average around the SF bay area.

Thanks for the reminder, it was a fun tournament and we ended early with an 8 way chop for $2636 each

I don't know of any other relatively small tournament in the bay area with such a good overlay and structure.

What is the OFC pay structure? Do they play with Fantasyland?

I read your NL game report posted back in June. What update can you give about possible 2/5 games? I was a regular there until Graton, but I would definitely go back to the 101 if there was a chance the a 2/5 game would go there again. I'm not really interested in 1/3 NL as I would rather pay $5 in rake for a bigger 2/5 game. Anyway, the fact remains that so many mediocre players came out of nowhere to play when Graton opened, but I miss the ol' 101.

Just saw that the Ante Up Poker Tour is coming back to the 101, April 27-May 3

That's good news. I've been wondering if they're still alive down there.
