line check A5o BvB .50 - 180 line check A5o BvB .50 - 180

09-06-2011 , 08:58 AM
2.50$ 180

Player has not been specially aggresive, got his stack by just calling/going allin with 2 big pairs and winning. If seen no other plays by him besides that.

I check flop because I think my hand is good and then proceed to betting turn and river for value.

I really feel like my line could be percieved as weak and I was set up to getting called by alot of worse hands. Posting here because I saw the hand in a review session and got a bit creaped out by how I played it. Especially the flop check and in a way the turn bet as well. I doubt which style would have been the one with the most EV (aggresive, bet flop/turn/river or how I did it). I feel like the first way is ending up with me getting called by more % hands that beat me.

Looks good to me. I like checking it back on the flop with these types of hands - nice showdown value but probably not 3 streets of value. I probably just go 1/2 pot again on river to be more sure of a call but really not a big difference.
