We both have even stacks, villain seems competent, not shoving very wide.

hand_history]Poker Stars, $2.28 Buy-in (2,000/4,000 blinds, 400 ante) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 5 Players

Hero (SB): 53,422 (13.4 bb)
BB: 90,211 (22.6 bb)
MP: 48,773 (12.2 bb)
CO: 28,076 (7 bb)
BTN: 49,518 (12.4 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with Q K
2 folds, BTN raises to 49,118 and is all-in, Hero ?????????

This is a call against any competent reg imo. If he isn't shoving very wide from the button, this is a probably a fold because of ICM.

ya against a reg i would call

against a non reg who based on reads has been way to tight when 1st in and short its marginal and id prolly fold if i thought they where to tight.

if villain is competent and NOT shoving wide, then he really is NOT competent
and should be shoving wide. Therefore it is prolly a fold if most of his range includes an ace.

This is either a typo or an oxymoron...

I call.

Never calling this. CO would be happy with you calling this. I call A10s+, AJo+. 77+.

Snapppp fold.

You could stick this in against someone who's shoving a bit wider than Nash but isn't 100% merged, or a player who's shoving an overly wide range (something like 45-50%).

U can call, but you dont have to. If ur unsure about villians range, then fold.

villain will show up way more with a weak A than a medium strength K ( besides PP ) which makes this a fold imo.
