Hello guys,
Villain's open is more than suspicious - he is also playing 61/12 after 30 hands.
We are very short so i wasn't too sure what to do?
What's your plan here and why?

KJ = shove here.

I don't think a 3x raise means much else other than he has a hand equal to something that can potentially shove. e.g. 66+, QTss+, QJo+, something like that.

I agree with the shove, we might not get better spot for this and vs his range i don't think we do that bad, especially with our stack size and being ITM.

I don't think we are in the money. But anyway 3x usually means they don't think about betsizing. Shove. 3xopen/fold with 7BB happens more often than one would think on these stakes.

my thoughts
I use bet sizes like this sometimes. for the very reason as op has stated it looks a bit suspicious. some recreational players do it with hands that they believe are to good to shove as feel they are losing value if there shoves get through. but hands they dont want to get calls with things like AK 10's J's. recs with AA often 2x in spots like this as less worried of callers or the BB getting good pot odds on a call.
"Non all in all in" bets as moshman/dozier popularized are now not effective as gaining any fe as they are seen more often and are generally treated as shoves. Bet sizing like 2000 of a 2175 stack now gain no extra fe but 600 at 100/200 of 950 stack do gain fe vs some villains as we are obviously commiting beyond the commitment threashold.
If you do these you have to be aware it begins a levelling thing with other regs in my opinion and it is therefore vital to make notes which isnt possible for everyone.
I do things like this sometimes it maybe FPS or it may be a little icing on the cake. I dont have sufficient sample yet so time will tell.
this guy is a fish so probably is more suspicious. but push anyway. you never know with those stats.
