So I am new to the 180s, Early in the tourney, I get AK hooray, I flop TPTK, Okay this is good, but due to my lack of knowledge, I expect a fold to my cbet! but no he flats, than leads out, on the turn, now what do I think here, perhaps he got A9?? surely he dint have 8T or 48, he leads out for just one third of the pot how do I interpret this. Do I flat call and hope for a check on the river, do I shove over the top, or just let go of the hand, I know for a fact I played this wrong, All thoughts would be great thanks!

Doesn't mean he has to be strong fish do this all the time. Would be more concerned if he check raised. I would shove the turn and find weaker aces a lot.

Cheers for the advice, so a shove on the turn for optimal play

        Hi, Jaseee!

        Yeah, preflop is std.,

on flop - bet bigger ~250 (roughly 3/4 pot)

turn - get it in! you are allowing him to get cheap to the river in case he has some SD or FD

        GL!

        Hand #2

Preflop, yeah, as martin decided - iso to 100-120.

        Flop is fine

Turn - I'd like to shove here, since he has pot size stack left.

cheers, I appreciate all the help, Also another hand, *I dont think they will ever stop*
So my thoughts btn a new player only 5 hands, SB is 9/9 over 55hands, so I was hoping for a fold from him, BB is only 5BB deep so I was expecting to get called with a weaker hand, or 40/60. Is this the correct play?

Totally fine with the K3o jam, couple less bb and you're in ATC territory
          09-14-2011 , 08:40 PM
It's not that thin. Should not have folded, don't be results orientated sir, gl.
I guess I'm "fine" with a fold since it's on the closer side but jam is better.

the break even point is 13%,15%,24%

in the games I play those are pretty conservative calling ranges

With the last hand, It was 5 spots away from the money, does that count for anything or no

if something, ship wider because people don't like to bubble

You don't need to shove the turn. However you need to make a raise that is too big to call or that commits you to the pot. Going all-in is fine too.

With AK hand I am usually betting 250 on the flop and shipping the turn vs random.

K3o hand I am usually starting here with Kxs and K6o against randoms or one of those three being reg.
