Early Overshoves - Calling range? Early Overshoves - Calling range?

This isn't necessarily only limited to MTTSNG but this was the forum I opened up first.

Quite regularly see eedjuts shoving their entire 1500 stack into a 60 open or just plain open shove 1500. Seems like lunacy to me as you should only be getting called by better or you are just losing major value. That aside, what is your calling range in this spot?

I called with QQ yesterday and Villain hit trip Kings on the flop with his AK. I would call again given the chance.
A couple of days ago I saw someone call off a shove with 77, which held up against AQ. But I probably would have folded 77 in his position.

Yes - think my range is prob 1010+ and maybe AKs
Wondered if that was too tight though.

Generally play tight against this. You can stand a lot of little losses and make back a lot later when you actually have a hand. Make notes on people who do this when someone calls them down and what they actually have.

If there are people to act behind you be aware that they too can wake up with a hand.

Surely not too tight imo, would probably even fold the 1010 in a lot of situations (number of players still to act etc. )

I am only shoving over the top of villains with QQ+ and maybe AKs early in a game. I may 3bet

QQ+. I'd fold AKs. Against anyone I think is a reg QQ is a fold too.

The first time maybe Jacks or better... but sometimes you see a guy do this 3 times in 6 orbits and by the 3rd time I am probably willing to gamble it up with hands like 77 and ATo if I am in decent position and not in too much risk of an overcall. If people wana give there chips away you got to put your hand out and hope for the best.

I'm shoving KK+ first few hands sometimes if there are unknowns on the table.

I'm calling QQ+ in most cases 75bb deep.

Based on no history I would say your folding 95% of hands. So your calling JJ+, AQs, AKo. I may even disregard AQs and JJ. However, note these players. It is important to note them as the more volume you put in the more you will see these people, if they're poor regs. The more you see it the more confident you can be calling lighter. But it is all stuational based on where you're at on the table. If its blind on blind I call lighter against him, if hes UTG and im UTG+1 I tighten up.

Note this, if you see him get called and he has JQo then you can be confident n calling his next shoves. Base decisions on history not your gut feeling at the time if you want to hero with 88 or ATo in MP.
