So giving position I think this is an ICM fold......?

i like a call here. he has less than 10bb's and everybody has roughly the same stack, if there are super short stacks i'll fold this but will call in this spot
01-22-2012 , 11:07 AM
Snap fold. We got a healthy stack no need to do -evcalls.
01-22-2012 , 11:42 AM
this is not FT
01-22-2012 , 12:10 PM

Eh..... I fold readless
01-22-2012 , 02:48 PM
Its a very close spot villain its a random, hence we cant determine with what he migh show up there consistently to say we have a +cEV spot there in the long run, im not saying its not a +cEV call or that it is for all that matter, im saying we cant determine anything for the fact villain its a guy with less than 2k turbos SNGs game experience.
01-22-2012 , 06:08 PM
its always a call with the stack sizes
01-22-2012 , 10:39 PM
you are wayyyyy ahead of his range if he's a decent reg, nh
01-23-2012 , 05:19 AM
i dont see how people think this is a snapcall, this will be based on read, but i am folding if no reads...

at can never have villain really dominated
01-23-2012 , 09:51 AM
This is usually profitable but villain-dependent. I get it in against most opponents. Don't get the ICM comment though. Not FT and even if it was, there are lots of even stacks, it's a 9-handed table etc.
01-23-2012 , 10:57 AM
there is icm from hand 1 at 10/20 in basically every non-winner take all sng/mtt/etc. except the bubble, icm becomes bigger every time someone busts until you get to heads up where it is 100% cev.. obv its not a significantly factor here but we still cant (shouldnt) play 100% cev. ignoring skill edge etc we still dont want to take break even (or close) +cev since every addition chip gained has diminishing increase in equity, doubling stack doesnt double equity etc etc
01-23-2012 , 11:04 AM
Yeah, ok, maybe I was over-stating but it's a pretty tiny consideration IMO.

Yea I messed up. Its not ICM

This is close but folding is best. You still have 5 hands behind you. I'd iso this from the cut or better but from your position I prefer a fold. AJ+ is fine to iso from your position but A10 is a bit thin.
01-31-2012 , 04:04 AM
I would call. It's not way ahead of his range but around 55% fav imo, hence pot odds are favouring us hugely (not considering ICM)

you are right; but usually if he is a reg, his pushing range is wider than NASH's pushing range in this spot.

i dont think theres an incorrect answer.i honestly dont know. its really villian dependent (duhh i know)id prob fold cos 5 behind
