Analyzing Results in PokerStars Turbo 180s Analyzing Results in PokerStars Turbo 180s

Hello everyone,

I was hoping that some of the winning regulars from the turbo 180 man SNGs on PokerStars could share how they analyze their results. I'm particularily interested in how one identifies and plugs their own leaks.

To this point, I've been first and foremost been tracking my results on OPR--I am concerned with the frequencies of where I am busting out. I am obviously looking for less than average bustouts in the early and early-middle game, while having an above average number of bustouts in the late-middle and late game. Does anyone have a benchmark of what the optimal figures are?

I planned to include a snapshot of my own here, but apparently I cannot post attachments (is it because I am new?) so I guess 6/14/45/22/14 will have to suffice. This is over a 642 game sample size where I have a 53% ROI and 14% ITM; and represents my play from the last 9 days.

Also, I use PT3 and have questions about the BB Won vs. Hands Played & the Chips Won vs. Hands Played graphs. Again, I planned to include my own graphs here but cannot add images to my post (or don't know how?).

I've been working under the assumption that the BB won graph is most useful in trying to determine if you are playing a solid early game with respect to making +eV decisions. I believe this is because stack sizes are larger enough in terms of BB in the early game to make significant gains/losses on the graph--or in other words, this is when ceV and $eV are closest in the tournament.

Conversely, I feel the chips won graph is most useful in determining whether or not you are playing a solid late game with respect to making +eV decisions. I'm aware that these graphs do not consider bubble strategy; however once your are ITM, isn't ceV once again commensurate with $eV?

I guess what I'm looking for is a way to determine whether or not I am experiencing good variance (an upswing) or bad variance (a downswing) in these SNGs... under the assumption that I am making correct adjustments on the bubble or ITM.

I am not very results oriented, just looking to improve. Sorry if any of this is unclear, I'm having trouble articulating my point at the moment... but any insight a winning regular could provide would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Seriously? Everyone and their grandmother are knowledgable enough to let Timmy know whether to push/fold on the bubble or three-handed ITM, but nobody can answer this for me?

I thought this was the premiere poker forum on the internet... or is that Pocket Fives?

Just wondering...

You are new here.

Your rambling opening post doesn't make much sense. Try just asking 1 specific question or numbering your questions if there is more than one.

And after this you want people to do you a favour?
