Hello,

We are at the final table of a 8$ 180 man and 4 left.
there is a shorter stack than me so I was thinking maybe this is a wrong call ICM wise. I was pretty active at the table and the villian uncletomrok has 3B shoved me a couple hands ago with KQ when I had a8.
Villian was playing 19/15 with a 10,7% 3B from 143 hands. I put villian on 44+ a8s+ ATo+ JQs+ KJo.

Is this a call?

(converted the wrong hand so I made it without HM2)

I think villain should be wider, particullary if he did get you to fold with his 3b's before as you told. Saying that i think u have to call also cause stack sizes.
Dont mind shoving rather than opening either, specially if u are planning to call anyway this guy, i mean we cannot make 88's an induce-monster type of hand

I think we have to call here. I don't really hate open shoving in this spot just because you get him to fold a lot of hands that flip with us and we are never r/f here. It's also ok to raise here if you think you're getting flatted by a super wide range or if you think you can induce bluff shove from one of the villains. Sometimes it's a shove and sometimes it's a r/c. Never a r/f imo.

I think this is a fistpump snap-call. Short stack isn't even that small. He has at least 12bbs and there's a much larger stack. If you pass on spots like this, it's just going to be more lopsided in favor of the chipleader where you guys get so short.

If someone disagrees with me, I would like to hear why.

This is what I also thought.
