Could someone explain what exactly the VIP points used for? Exchanging them for cash used to be an option but seems that is no longer available? Is the only purpose for them tournament Buy ins, and if not, is that the most +EV use? Does using VIP points subtract for your MGR, like back in the FTP days?

You exchange VIP points for cash in your vault if you are non RB. If you are RB, you can't exchange them.

Did the value of VIP points just get reduced? At Black VIP Elite, you used to be able to exchange at 22.5%. Now it's 10%. I'm hoping that's a glitch that will get fixed real soon.

They changed it from 22.5% RB and 22.5% points redemption to 35% and 10%, in my opinion, because people were switching from RB to VIP and converting their hoarded points at a higher rate, which was costing them money.

There is one bright spot in that, from what they are telling us, when the store finally does come out, the VIP points have 15% purchasing power. We will see if that actually happens, but that might be a bit more value for people that actually have something they would like to buy.

While I'm sure that the switching from RB to VIP and converting wasn't altogether a non-factor, the primary reason was we had run into several technical issues with specific users and their points conversion, and it made a lot more sense to streamline so all players received the same exchange rate and just had one moving variable (the cash back) instead of two. it cuts down on potential areas for errors, thus reducing support inquiries as well as improving the user experience.

And yes, I've been told that VIP points will basically exchange at ~15% in the store, so depending on if there is anything in the store you want, you might get more value out of them that way.
