First post, new to the site. I've read through most of this forum and it seems to be mainly about problems with Lock cashouts but so far I haven't seen anyone not be paid. As a US player I have been playing on Merge but the sng traffic is nowhere near that of Lock's(from what I've seen). I'm planning on depositing to try it out but am curious to hear more reviews about the site itself other than the slower cashouts. I have a very good job so the withdrawal timeframes wouldn't really bother me as much as it would someone who plays for a living but I do see most people believe Lock simply doesn't have the money to pay its customers. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

pros:
you can buy funds at .5
you can get good RB deals

cons
everything else

i only ever played at lock because of the player pool but since that seems to be dwindling theres not much really positive i like about it.

The only real positive: One of the few sites that still allows U.S. players which is why most players are there. Means there's a high percentage of grinders.

If you're in the U.S., don't deposit money that you ever care about seeing again but otherwise enjoy the games...assuming of course you don't become a winning player and get all the tables blocked from your view.

IMO there is no positive if you can't get your funds.

Personally, I like Lock more than the other sites available for US players. I've gotten my money off through here a few times already before, but yes, since the new year, it's been harder for whatever the reason may be. There are still people posting on these forums saying they are getting their money, it's just taking a long time. I myself have been waiting a couple months now for my most recent withdrawal, but I enjoy the layout, the game selection, and the actual population of SOME people.

As a US player, we don't really have any guarantee as it is. To say that anyone KNOWS the financial situation of ANY poker site they do or did play on, would be a complete misstatement. At this point, I've played on Lock consistently for about 2 years now, and have no desire to look at another site thinking it'd be any different than how it is on Lock. If tons of US players were being paid out so quickly on some other poker site, we'd have heard about it by now and tons of people would be switching.

Either way, best of luck to you and welcome to the forums

Merge sng traffic crushes Revo's... not to say Merge's is excellent but Revo's sng traffic is practically non-existent.

Intertops pay outs take anywhere from instantly-a couple of weeks FOR USA PLAYERS! compare that to Locks avg or 3-4 months for neteller and e-wallets of the like that should be instant. nice try shane (or one of shane's co-workers)

Are you guys out of your minds? I CONTINUALLY post that I have YET to receive my money. I have a 1/6/13 withdrawal waiting a MTCN AND another withdrawal I requested on 3/4/13. Why on earth would anyone in relation to Shane or Lock EVER want to continually post they have yet to receive money for a withdrawal request nearing 3 months now.

I will GLADLY take a picture of my cashier for anyone, I've also posted in the section looking for offers on my Lock $. But here's the thing guys, I know for SURE we won't get paid out if NO ONE continues to deposit. I'm not trying to steer anyone to do anything, but if money stops going in, whatever chance we DO have in getting our money anytime soon or at all, will dwindle even lower.

As for Intertops, don't you realize Lock started out the same? Last year I withdrew from Lock about 5 times and only waited a month once, the other 4 were a matter of a few weeks. There's no guarantee for anything, so are we supposed to just jump around from site to site constantly to whoever is paying out the fastest? Easier said than done.

people are switching why is why Winning Poker Network (ACR, BCP) and Bovada traffic is up.

Lol, sorry, i'm just frustrated like everyone else.

And as for Bovada, I know it's different than Bodog because it's based out of Las Vegas, but isn't it essentially the same thing as if another company bought out Lock? Bovada is just Bodog with a sudden method of "legality", and it really ISN'T any different than anyone else. My point is that, just as Bodog shut down, why would Bovada be different?

I guess my belief is that over time and as the mass amounts of payouts and non-taxed $ exchanges hands from players to sites and back to players, that every site only has a window of time before this delay/stoppage of payouts occurs. There really is no being right or wrong here, to be frank, no one can tell me that they PERSONALLY know how bovada, intertops or anyone else pays out players. And if there was a magic trick to do so, Lock and other sites would follow suit.

Pro: It's much easier to handle downswings when you know that you were probably never going to receive the money anyway.

+1 This is so freaking true. But on the other hand, bankroll management kind of went out the window when I started to view lock as monopoly money (-1000). Not getting my wu is tilting.

u can buy it and wait for the cashouts if you want and just profit that way. gotta be patient tho

No pro's whatsoever.

It's a pretty sick feeling to see a bunch of games running at 100nl+, but then the day after fair play goes in, it's a ****ing dead zone. Honestly, you'd be better off taking your deposit to a local casino and putting it all on red, better chance to see it again imo
