New Revolution software ideas New Revolution software ideas

One of the biggest problems with the move for most players is the software. Shane has stated that they will be working on an upgrade ASAP so i think we should give them some ideas.

For starters i think the software is playing very slow it takes forever to ship the pot and get the chips into the middle this is something that tilted me on pstars and why i played on ftp.

also the tile feature is not working at all on my monitors..

auto top up in cash game not working either...

just a few things im sure theirs more

Auto top-up seems to work on and off.

My tables don't pop up randomly when I multi-table so it auto sits me out.

Auto Time-Bank would be nice.

Waitlist sucks, the Merge one was way better. I liked being able to click waitlist for one table and have it automatically waitlist every table. Not sure if there is a way to do this for Revolution.

Custom avatars would be nice if it isn't already an option. I'm guessing cake doesn't want them though.

uh-oh. i haven't switched yet. I multi 16-18 DoNs and stack them on top of each other. How often does this happen? this could kill me as I am playing on a laptop no monitor..

Game filters should save when u close the client like on cake. Also why is everything in black and white ?
05-31-2012 , 01:32 PM
i feel like i have to click fold and other buttons 2 or 3 times before it happens.

Start from scratch?

in mtt the lobby is always off on how many players r left. And fix % of players that get paid.

The current software is totally unbearable in my opinion. I'm frustrated at the moment because I'm a WA state player who's last chance to play online poker is with Revolution - so please bear with me.

-The auto top up feature is not consistent. It worked maybe ~40% of the time over the 50 or so hands I played.

-The table resize is bad. I resize four tables and instead of making them all equal it pushes the bottom two a bit below my screen so I can't see chat.

-People icons are just dumb and clunky looking. Unfortunately I was forced to stick with them as the simple layout is even worse, what is the deal with those huge blinking green abstract-geometrical shapes around the player names? It looks horrible.

-Why are there nine seats at the six max tables with only six people sitting at the table? I just don't understand this or why anyone thought that was a good idea.

-Software is super slow and unresponsive. Buttons are sticky. Takes away timing tells and make playing a major pain.

-For some reason auto posting blinds wasn't always working for me. It would randomly ask me if I wanted to be dealt it when I was in the blinds with auto post blinds checked...I would time out and then have to wait another round to play which tilted me to no end.

Overall terrible experience and I was so tilted I just quit playing and am dreading returning tomorrow.

take FTP's schedule, structures, and software and rename it Lock.

actually the software inplay is quite nice, its not a bad looker either.

huge problems atm though are:-

a) auto-reload is broken. I mean properly busted, it lags, sometimes works, sometimes doesnt and is horribly random.

b) timebank, would be helpful to have longer than 20 seconds for a decision. I dont mean merge-monster timebank, thats just slowing the game down, but a bit of time for a monster decision would be nice.

c) satout time, some ppl like to play long sessions and it feels like the kick time is kinda ridiculous.

allinall though, not as bad as i first thought!

I used to play on cake often a few months ago. Auto reload only activates after u go down a specific percentage even if u told it cap to max

Be patient. Lock has said they will develop a brand new up to date version once everything is stablized

Things I noticed from first day:

-auto top up seems to only work if you drop below a certain amount (90bbs or so it seems)

-tables that need action don't always pop to the front causing you to sit out or randomly get bombarded with all the hands you've been missing.

-actions occur too slowly, especially when getting all in preflop

-the options menu is just a mess and hard to navigate imo

-the tables you are on in the lobby aren't bolded or indicated in some way so you have to look through the players list on each table to see if you are already there.

-color coded players are not indicated in the player lists in the lobby.

Auto top up is easily fixed - select 'top up to x amount of big blinds' and make it 110 bb.

HUSNGS need a rematch button. Now. Today.

We need a online cashier like we had with merge. Easier to send $$ or check $$ from an iPhone.
05-31-2012 , 04:34 PM
is it just me or is there like an annoying random constant ticking noise while the client is up?

frustrating, I didn't think it could get worse than Merge. I guess we'll have to be patient and hope Lock gets to work on new software. Overall I'm still excited, change is never easy.

This works. It says, "If your chips fall 10 big blinds below the amount you specify, Auto Top-up will buy chips to bring you back up to the amount you specific below."

chat window slows everything down and is one of the main reasons for lag (and the text constantly moves up and down even if i dont click on the chat window) unless you click on a different window (highly recommended for now). lock needs to do something about this.

Scrap it and start from scratch imo. It's clunky. It's slow. It looks like it was made with a nintendo 64.

Or just buy the old full tilt client.

Please?
05-31-2012 , 05:54 PM
Any way you can get your color notes on players to show up in the lobby like on Merge?

Also i can't get the tables to tile for some reason if i click tile they stay default size and just stack on top of each other and half of the bottom table goes off my screen?

I can't even load the new software. Tried to install/uninstall a few times and it had me install some Microsoft program (i use Mac) and now my comp is running slow.

I tried this and it still didn't work. I may be switching back to Merge. Another problem for me is HEM is not supported... Terrible move imo.
