I caught up with someone today. The store didn't go out yesterday (as most of you probably know). there was an issue with some of the APIs, for the non-technical people out there, basically the code that allows our store to process the orders with select vendors wasn't working properly. It was an issue on their side and we've been working diligently today to get it fixed now that they've identified it. I've asked them if it can't be fixed today to remove the offending items from the store and release it. so if you see the store later today and it is missing a few items, they should show up in the next few days as things get fixed.
Yeah - to be 100% honest I keep hearing 'today' every day. I know it's VERY close and as a former developer I know the issues they're currently dealing with are literally the kind where as soon as the people we're working with get their side fixed it will just 'work'.
I was told yesterday that it would be today (as in Friday). Quite honestly I'm just going to say 'very soon' rather than coming on here every day and saying 'today'. I've talked extensively with the development team and I know what the issue is. I'll let everyone know when I know more.
In a product lifecycle 80% time and efforts go in testing. Since we are dealing with points(=money) here, efficient testing becomes even more important before the store is opened. Lets remember that Lock is not as big as Stars or FTP who had several engineers at their disposal.
It will open when it is done, lets all be patient about it.
