Lock Poker - I really like the software and design. Lock Poker - I really like the software and design.

I have been playing on Lock the past 2 weeks. I really like the software and the way the site runs. I also really like the design of the site.

I hope they can figure out the withdrawel process. If they can get that figured out, I can see myself playing on Lock for a very long time.

Having a hard time figuring if this a level or not, the software is riddled with bugs, including but certainly not limited to:

tables not auto popping up when you reg

tables that just "freeze" all the time, and if you are multitabling, you will not know until you open the lobby, close the frozen and take your seat again

site outages have been fairly frequent as of recently, and in many of the cases ( such as this last outage ) they just gobble your buyin while half the field is able to reconnect and steal chips while the other half is sitting out

sometimes double clicking the title bar on any table that normally causes it to maximize in size causes it to glitch and freeze, only killing the client process and restarting it will fix this

no double rebuys, auto rebuys or auto addons, no prompt to addon when the addon period begins

Tourney lobbies are inaccurate as far as the field size numbers are concerned

Not trying to be overly critical, and while it does have potential ( lots of it imo ) it's slowly dying without addressing software issues and more importantly without having trust worthy cashout methods. I have read posts that they are just now trying to clear a 3+ month backlog of cashouts, but until someone requests a cashout and gets it in under 30 days I am not raking another penny there. continue to play there if you would like, but as far as the software is concerned, the only software that may be worse at the moment is WPN imo

What other option is there?? I live in Las Vegas... However I work all day and I would rather come home and play online.

Im not too picky in regards to the issues you mentioned... those seem pretty minor to me. Im just happy to be playing online again.

The cashout part sucks... but I understand that payment processing is not as easy as it once was.

absolutely agree, im sure its not easy to process that many payments, but it's the smoke and mirrors that they put out for all of their press releases, the reason that i left the site and so many others have is i just cant trust the site. read the backlog of cashout/lock fail threads and you will get an idea of what i am talking about say one thing, do another, usually for the worst. all things seem to point to they just dont have the money to pay out, probably because they left merge 6 months ago and bought up cake network and maybe overestimated their returns on that investment, and now find themselves in the hole ( total conjecture there, just to be clear but its not hard to come to that conclusion after u follow how the events have unfolded )

other options:
merge
winning poker network ( americas card room, black chip poker are a couple of the skins here)
bovada'

there are probably more that i dont know about too

i mean lock doesn't even have to be at the front of the pack by any means, but they are just outright unable to run a site/network i guess... i used to blame shane, but that is totally misguided, as he has zero pull on the corp itself, he's just the 2p2 facing front and thats it, i actually feel bad for the guy now to some degree, i do feel that he is starting to realize that straight up lying to his ( their ) customer base is not a recipe for success

This is very untrue. All things point to Lock having a very slow processor which delays the payments. Everyone has gotten their money, it's just a matter of having to wait usually 4-12 weeks to receive it. I'm not saying this is acceptable, since there seem to be some US friendly pokers sites who process payments faster. But there very limited evidence suggesting that they don't have the money to pay out the withdrawal requests. Everyone gets paid, it's just a matter of when.

If you can't deal with waiting very long for cashouts, or if you can't deal with selling your funds at .75 cents to the dollar, then don't play on Lock. Otherwise, please stop repeating the same complaints over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.

The software has been super laggy and buggy lately. I'v been playing on it for about 6 months now and just recently it started getting really bad. Random tables stop working and the graphics get super laggy. Not the mention you can't set the table size you want and have to adjust every time you open a new table. Multi tabling is getting very annoying on Lock

Thanks ... I appreciate your info and point of view.

orly when was the last time someone got a cashout in that range? and furthermore when was the last time a US player got a cashout in that time?

what about lock misrepresenting their cash out times to new customers as seen in marketing emails sent out this week

and until they fix things, you will be hearing a whole lot more about the most critical issue regarding a poker site: being able to cashout. if you can't deal with that, then dont read their forums

I'm as critical about Lock as anyone but I've gotten plenty of cashouts in the 3-5 week range (before WU was taken away) and even the longest check I requested took 10 weeks. And, although it sucks, I have never had a problem selling funds through 2+2 even though it's about a 25% vig.

And to whoever it was that mentioned it is misguided to blame Shane... I couldn't agree more. He seems to have handled things as well as he possibly could. It can't be easy to be the 2+2 face of a site that so many people have intense hatred toward. Although if they could get cashouts down to a reasonable timeframe and fix the bugs in the software it would basically eliminate the vast majority of the hatred, those things are not something he has any power over.

I agree with all of that!! My plan is to try and win more and if I need the $$$ right away - then I will pay the 25% Vig.
Im confident that Lock will get this fixed. I do not believe that they are not making money and they do not have any money to pay the players.

I sometimes can't register for tournaments, so not sure what is so great about that. I am on the Mac version fwiw, so I get that there are bugs. But being unable to register for tournaments is like the opposite of great.

I guess I have been lucky then. I have made a couple final tables with no issues and no problems registering for tourneys. I understand how that could be frustrating.

Im going to assume that they will work out all of the issues in the future.
