Lock's executive team seems to be better at marketing than strategic planning. At the end of the day, puffery will not lead to long term success.
True but I don't think any US facing sites are truly focusing on long term success. One of two things are bound to happen in the not so distant future.

1. The DOJ steps in again and shuts more sites down.
2. The US regulates online poker and US sites will pop up and destroy what's left of the current US facing sites.

I don't know what you are all are complaining about. The software isn't really that much worse. It's just not as pleasing to the eyes. I had problems running a hud on merge and cake when my computer had only 4 gb of ram. The rakeback is better and there are more fish on cake. This is a huge win for all of you lock players.

Ok the waitlist does suck, but it's not really all the bad. With lock coming over and reprogramming it hopefully they will fix it to be more like merge's.

Weird, running Win 7 32 bit on 3gb laptop, no problems with HEM.

I'm not sure. I think the Merge software is actually pretty good and is significantly better than Cake. I will have a small BR on Revolution but most of my play will stay on Merge. Competition is good, so that's the main reason I'm excited.

It would run, just had a lag on it.

Any chance they offer poker to Kentcky players initially like Merge did?
05-30-2012 , 10:24 AM
Will Revolution Network be accepting New York players that have not been able to sign up on Merge?
05-30-2012 , 10:32 AM
Yes shane has said that the only state not able to sign up is utah. Ky and ny are bueno
05-30-2012 , 11:19 AM
Are you really going to wait until 12:00:01 June 1 to release the software? It seems like your servers may get overloaded with downloads since that's when your Ronin promo starts as well.

You think it would be to my advantage to open a Cake acct prior to the 1st or just wait until the change over?

I don't see why. It would only take a few minutes to open an account and if you are depositing via WU you would have to wait till they are open which would mean you couldn't start playing till they opened in the morning. Oh no. I don't know whether a CC would work for you.

If you want RB as opposed to the VIP system remember that you can only have one RB account. I would never sign up on Cake the room but there are other skins on the Cake network that are OK.

Why not just wait til lock moves then sign up on lock? Lock will be the best skin on revolution anyways with its added player benefits, exclusive tournies, etc
05-30-2012 , 01:54 PM
Is PT3 still going to work on Revolution?
05-30-2012 , 01:59 PM
so Lock is switching at 7 CET time on the 31st of May....CET is 6 hours ahead of EST time, so 1 AM tonight the switch will happen according to Jhub's blog. What is going to happen to MTTs that are running?
05-30-2012 , 03:45 PM
How is software besides HUDs gonna work?
05-30-2012 , 04:23 PM
I am excited about the changes coming to. However, and sorry Kentucky and new York, is lock or cake opening itself up for trouble by reaccepting players from states where there are strong opposition to online poker? I know this is easy for me to point out since not from one of these states. But some of these states are strongly against it. Isn't it a felony in Washington state? Sorry to damper the mood and all,but this seems like a valid concern...

U have a valid point. I don't know the exact rules in those states but it's unfair to everyone else if lock is taking unnecessary risks

You're assuming 0700, 7 AM? Or do they mean 1900 hours, 7 P.M.? If it's 7 PM there, it would be 1300 EDT on May 31, assuming the stated 6 hour difference.

Oh, and where is this stated?

I play on a skin on cake an I have rakeback there. I emailed lock support to see if there would be an issue with me having rakeback or being a vip once the changeover happens. They just said details would soon be released. So is there a chance I won't be able to get rakeback or be a vip player? If that's the case I don't see the point in depositing even though I want to continue to play on lock
