6 days!.... What's today's date lol? I think it's the 24th... Pretty sure lol...I'm bored...
05-24-2012 , 04:00 PM
I'm more interested to see what kind of traffic Merge loses.
05-24-2012 , 04:02 PM
excited. been checking the date for over a week. lol
05-24-2012 , 04:37 PM
Not excited. Lock customer service is beyond terrible.
05-24-2012 , 06:02 PM
Theyre supposed to get a better support team next month

That's why you should be excited! This could be the next big thing it will make it or break it. If they succeed things should start moving smoothly ie cashouts response team etc... If they fail one less network to worry about and we all move back to merge lol.

Im given to understand that support its offered by the Network not by the skin per se, pretty sure once Lock its on his own support will improve a lot.

The skins have their own support.

Whether or not you're excited for Revolution network, you gotta admit, this is gonna be a pretty big change to the online poker landscape. And competition is a good thing for players.

everything I have read puts Lock traffic at around 40-45% of merge. Merge is in big big trouble I would guess.

I really don't think the loss to the merge player pool will be that big. And merge will be fine.

Highly doubtful! If they haven't done so already, I anticipate that many will simply open accounts on other Merge skins. As it stands now, Merge's poker client is much better than Cake's. And Lock/Revolution has a ton of work to do before they can reverse the negative trend in terms of ave. traffic that plagued the Cake network for the past 2+ years (since Sportsbook/PO left them for Merge and BF)!

In any case I am cautiously optimistic, as long as Lock makes a commitment to listen and work with its players.

if lock crushes merge in the cashout arena then merge will perish

there are skins on Merge which cash you out from less than 24 hours up to 5 days... Obv they use their own cashiers! One of my last cashouts took only 18 hours. AFAIK the only semi-"fast" cashout that Lock offers is WU, but with a $250 limit, it's not exactly viable for many of us.

Total homer. De facto is being a clown.

Merge will die unless they improve their product. Revolution the same. I trust in Lock/Rev management an Fload more than merge so I'm buying Revolution way more but both have potential to crash and burn, time will tell

Lock is moving to the cake network next month which they bought and renaming it revolution gaming network. They have potential to beat merge
05-25-2012 , 07:45 AM
i think most people will play at both sites. I already opened a account at Blackchippoker and have begun playing there.. support is not terrible.

Until Revolution proves something to me i'll continue playing on Merge.. the new software looks GREAT.. hopefully both will thrive and pickup up more international players.. let US players keep playing but focus gaining new internationals.

I thought Carbon was the big dog on Merge
05-25-2012 , 11:35 AM
I doubt if it's 40%. I think closer to 25%. Like most I'm taking a wait and see. They will say whatever. We are going to have better customer service, software, cash outs etc. We will see. I feel like our current poker providers are just fine being a blah skin on a blah network and making there money. No eye for the potential. They are happy ordering steak or lobster and not steak and lobster.

Was it just me that noticed it, but last night around 10pm central merge had roughly 20 tables of 100nl and 200nl all full all wait listed. Never seen that much traffic before. That's like 40 full tables...

And HSNLHE have been running pretty consistently as well. Not a lot in the realm of $400NL or $600NL, but still, not bad.
