i assume krantz showed? cause i dont think he has ever mucked a bluff in a huge pot.
12-25-2007 , 12:25 AM
he didn't, which means we'll never really know what he had. no offense intended to krantz at all of course, but he is a poker player.

ESPECIALLY WHEN THE ****ING RESULTS HAVE BEEN POSTED!! The fact that you don't know that means that a)you didn't take the time to read the thread, b)you read the thread but didn't actually care about the content, c) you are a ******.

I really hope it is choice C for many of you, because it would be a damn shame to waste such a great resource such as these great players minds/contributions. Don't take them for granted and don't abuse these boards. If you are interested in something, take some time to try and find your answer. It is usually there. And if the results haven't been posted....there is a good reason for that. It usually means there is more discussion to be had. Do not stifle this.

Happy Holidays all

Resume original thread....

High five!!

and the number of tables krantz was playing is pretty crucial but id durrr was rigth that its like 6 or whatever good chance he wasnt so into the hand on the flop. 1 or 2 and his focus was there ~ he reverse telled us on the flop with a monster.

Taylor, Jman28, Durrrr, Krantz, whitelime, ansky, genius28, bldswtrs, Daniel Alaei, foxwoodsfiend, ike, mastr have all posted in this thread. Why does this never happen anymore?

lots of reasons. to name a few:

-many of the above either coach or make videos for training sites. they get paid to give advice there so it makes less sense to give it away for free.

-there are less good games and less fish available. accordingly, the knowledgeable players are more careful about protecting information.

-trolls on these boards consistently hate on most of the people you listed above. it's driven away some people's desire to contribute strategy to the community.

I don't even play cash and I love this thread. Really incredible stuff, thanks to everyone in the community for offering insight and (hopefully) helping us monkeys to monkey off a little less.

You're not entitled to these people's opinions for free.

Still, pretty awesome bump.

I don't understand why people are saying
Shove>>>>>> Call on the turn.

Shove lets him fold his air and call his whole value range. He may have some worse value hands but not that many combos. I suppose if he c/r turn with QKcx or QJcx he'd need to call but that's about it.

I feel like call the turn c/r call any non club river, is almost certainly best but that river is really ****ty and makes me want to fold.

I thought this at first but the thing is we don't have the nuts here. And any club on the river he's not going to like one bit, and might give Krantz a flush where had he shoved Krantz would have had to have folded on the turn. (you're not really getting the odds for a king high flush i don't think iirc)

Also bear in mind that once Krantz is called he said himself he's probably giving up but the river card was one where he believed with the added straights out there now aswell would make OP fold.

edit: Nice bump aswell been a very enjoyable thread to read.

prob the best bit of info i got from this thread. Small flop bet, big pot inflating turn raise, inconsistency, river jam on a semi-brick, call. nice.

*just had a scary thought ....
