Thats kinda cheap in a way Ill guess.

Wow that's crazy rbk. I thought you were joking at first after all the hype about motorcycles and how dangerous they are. I actually almost replied to that stuff about how the danger of it in my mind would be people not seeing you when changing lanes because I've almost done that a bunch of times. You should make HSNL feel good and say that we solidified your decision to wear all the protective gear.

Noah, seems like you should be glad he's only looking for $1k..

Buddy: can I pay you $1 so you ship me $10k if Durr loses more than 10M in the challenge?
<negotiations removed>
Me: alright
Me: you got yourself a bet

So.. the very important question is does the $1.5M side bet count for durrrr's losses.

I'm blown away by the "Book with your local accredited space agent"
Sounds so futuristic.

Glad to hear you're ok Jonas.....damn that's scary.....always drive with the thought that everyone else on the road is an idiot imo (although good to hear that they were nice and apologetic)

Christ. Glad you're ok man.

Did the woman get a ticket or anything? I mean, what did the police say? Any planned lawsuits?

Def. this.

You should contact the co. that makes your gear and see about getting paid to do a commercial or something.

cole and i discussed doing this ages ago. i kind of feel like its a waste with virgin though compared to what Guy did for example, where you get trained up and get to actually chill out in outerspace. this seems more like a 200k rollercoaster ride which seems excessive.

also obviously glad to hear you are not dead jonas. my dad hit a kangaroo on a motorcycle once and broke his leg. he bounced down the road and then had to crawl home. the kangaroo didn't make it. it kind of sucked to be him at that point i guess

yes i realise its ridiculous to hit a kangaroo on a motorcycle but its a real issue in australia!

Sick, hope you have no trouble walking in the future

There are btw a couple of companies that offer trips to space and I don't think it will take too long (10 years tops) that they offer way cooler trips than they do now and maybe even cheaper.

On a sidenote, I decided to go to Nepal for 2 months after been in vegas for almost a month. Curious whats on the other side of the culture spectrum.

That's insane. Good luck with the recovery!

but the pics will def be worth the wait.

when i stopped sliding i had intense pain in my stomach which scared me the most, when i saw the hole in my knee (it looked like i had a gunshot wound) i was like ok this is def bad, but the internal stuff was way scarier to me.

also this time around i had the experience of my broken neck so i knew that even tho i could move didn't mean i wasn't ****ed up.

also i was incredibly weak, having a hard time breathing, and generally really couldn't muster the energy to move much.

the girl and her BF stopped and came back, and the whole freeway pretty much stopped and a bunch of people got out to help and call 911 etc.
the girl and her BF were very apologetic and very nice, just clearly mortified at what happened.
This sounds like almost what happened to me in regards to bodily damage...except the car I hit was totaled...it really is amazing what really high quality protective gear and helmet can do for you, it has special lucky power for sure. Sometimes you die if one of the above described things happen, though. I cringe whenever someone tells me "well if I crash on a motorcycle, I'm dying anyways, screw gear" or whatever. Anyways it's cool you didn't die. Be careful recovering and rehab.

Jonas, GJ not dying, props.

Can you describe in more detail exactly what happened at the point that the crash began? If I am understanding right, you were in the womans blind spot/ to her side ish, and she changed lanes without looking, and clipped you? What exactly did the bike do, do you just fall down and start skidding, or did you flip or what?

Also, in a little bit of a sick morbid way it is kind of funny that this happened now, after all that talk. With that said, if you had died, it probably would not be funny.

Glad you're ok!

Glad you're ok, man.

I don't wanna be a douchebag rubbernecker, but I will be anyway. Can you post a TR at some point of the whole thing?

Ah **** RBK, glad you did the right things and came out more or less OK. Too bad about the GSXR, that was a sweet bike. I am sure you will recover, you are tough and disciplined.

One of things I look for in leggings/pants is super easy on and off. There are so many on the market that have great protection but they are a total PINTA to get on and off. Which of course leads to one not wearing them all the time. I wish they would make all of them with zippered legs.

If you have someone, have them check in on you from time to time. Not trying to scare you or anything, but even with all the scans available today they can miss things. Pay attention to your condition.

Chin up botha! Better luck with the next one.

sick, RBK. glad you are still here with us. GL w/ recovery bro

edit: question: just out of curiosity where/what highway did this happen?
