I'm also fairly sure that if you inserted Kobe into the Hornet's roster and replaced Paul with some random decent PG (ex: Rafer or Derick Fisher), they would win more games/be a bigger threat to win a playoff series than they are now.
So how are Wade and Paul better players than Kobe currently? They just aren't, and I don't even think you could find a single NBA "expert" that would argue otherwise.
Big men and gaurds can't really be compared, but Dwight Howard is most definately not a better player than Kobe at this point. He is on the perfect team for a big man to dominate on the offensive end and still is very inconsistant. How many times has Kobe scored <10 points and been a total nonfactor in the playoffs?
Was Ben Wallace a better player than Kobe 5 yrs ago? I know Howard is obviously better offensively than Wallace was, but not so much that he is in the same class as Kobe, Lebron, and Wade.
the bold is the crux of the issue. basically, although many people think what you say is true, it is false. or at least, likely false. meaning, if you flip flopped those other guys for Kobe, then the lakers would gain wins and the other teams lose wins. thats what makes those other guys better than he.

Also, by the Kobe hater's logic, Kareem, Wilt, Russell, Shaq were all obviously much better players than Jordan because bulk scoring and wing defense just don't matter........Does not compute.
because people who don't salute Kobe as the greatest ever are immediately Kobe haters?
Jordan was on a different level than Kobe. They're not similar players at all. Jordan was that much better that it's very much reasonable for those guys to be ahead of Kobe (which they are) but below Michael.
