Probably stating the obvious here, but I loved 6th sense, thought Unbreakable was very good, thought Signs sucked.

I didn't like the Village, but I had the ending spoiled and watched it on an airplane, so it doesn't really count as a legit opinion.

Wiki Limbo. Didn't read the article, but my understanding is it's a Christian idea of where you go if you neither go to heaven or hell. It's supposed to be thousands of years of nothing, after which you may or may not go to heaven.

I don't know what your price range is but I went to Wailea on Maui with my gf before this years WSOP and had a great time. Lots of great food, shopping and activities all close by and the beach was amazing.

I stayed at the 4 seasons and really enjoyed myself. The snorkeling right off the beach was better than the actual snorkel tour we went on (lots of variance though, might've just been a bad fish day.) and the service was also really good.

RBK,
Friday Night Lights for sure. There is one very bad arc in season 2, but the rest is all very good.

The subject of terrible films is pretty interesting to me. It's funny, because Daredevil is in no way the worst film ever made, it's not even close, but I certainly enjoyed it at lot less than the vast majority of films i've watched that would be considered "worse".

Take The Room for example. If any of you haven't seen that yet it's definitely worth checking out. It takes the 'so bad it's good' paradox and runs with it, to the point where it's one of the funniest films i've ever seen. It's written by, directed by and stars the one guy, and he has no ability at any of them. He sounds like a drunk Croatian cyborg while delivering his lines and the film is woeful on all levels. Here's a sample scene (I lose it whenever I see this scene, no matter how many times i've watched it):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQ4KzClb1C4

Now I mean, that film is definitely "worse" than Daredevil by conventional standards. There's no question. No production values, the worst acting in the world, a terrible script and a horrible plot. And none of it is intentional, it's not a parody, it's just a terribly produced film. Yet it's infinitely more enjoyable than something like Daredevil or The Happening.

I watch a lot of these 'so **** they're entertaining' films (there are a ton of hilarious low budget 80's action movies like Stick Fighter, that are genuinely really entertaining) and I've kind of come to the conclusion that there's a specific type of horrible film that has that Hollywood touch and it's just totally devoid of anything enjoyable. When you get a big budget film like Daredevil or Battlefield Earth (which is probably the worst film to get a cinema release in the last two decades), they're trying so hard to make a blockbuster that when it fails it totally ruins it. On the flipside, someone who is just doing their thing, even if they do it terribly, can still produce something with a lot more unintentional entertainment value.

Anyway Shymalan is terrible these days and Nolan is definitely a candidate for director of the decade. And you should all watch The Room.

Serious question.

Spoiler:
Is it possible that Cobb's spinny-top thingy was compromised before he got inception-ed and thus, don't know whether he is dreaming anymore?

In the movie, it seemed like they made a point to not let others know what your "dream detector" feels like.

Spoiler:
Wasn't the spinny-top actually Mal's totem originally? Did Cobb even have a totem?

The whole thing was a dream from start to finish (I think the Mombasa scene gives that away) but my current fave theory now is that Mal was actually right when she jumped (she escaped back to reality) and the whole film is Cobb still dreaming during himself and Mal's original shared dream experiment thingy.

In 5 mins will prob come up with 50 holes in that theory :-)

i have no idea why you say this definitively when it's obviously just one theory.

i thought the chase when he gets stuck between the walls kind of gave it away

but yes of course it's just one theory

unless nolan comes out and gives a definitive interpretation (miniscule chance of this happening i presume)
