This thread was made in the marketplace forum and since we are getting close to the start of the series and the chef would have to make plane reservations etc. I decided to help him out by x-posting here.

He did not ask me to make this post and I do not know him personally nor can I vouch for him in any way. He does seem very sincere about his love for cooking and I believe from his posts that he will be a +ev investment (he even said he would consider delivering hot home cooked meals to players during the tournament).

He would require a place to sleep, a kitchen to work, and other compensation. He is 23 years old and a Canuck.

Pictures of his food can be found in his thread in the marketplace forum. You can ask him any questions via PM or in .
the thread in the Marketplace forum

I just want to reiterate that I don't know the guy other than from his post in the Marketplace and I don't vouch for him in any way (though someone did vouch for him in that thread.)

So, does anyone not want threads like this one: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...d.php?t=203244

locked/deleted? Theres basically no chance this guy is for real and the thread is pretty boring, but it keeps getting bumped so maybe other people feel differently? I want to mod this forum how you guys want it to be modded, so thoughts from anyone would be appreciated.

lock imo. anything with any sort of "NVG" style to it is going to get a bunch of bumps, that doesn't make it at all worthwhile.

what have u got to lose by keeping that thread? the small chance that it is real makes it worth it. i dont see the downside

IMO random dumb threads like that are a necessary part of HSNL.

I mean if there is a 0.625% chance this is true the EV is $250,000...what does it matter keeping the thread open?

Say someone genius solved HU NLH, and wrote a bot. The bot played perfect, unexploitable HU NLH, but never tried to adjust to opponent specific tendency. But let's be clear, it's definitely unbeatable.

The bot was also programmed to perfectly imitate a human in terms of timing tells, chat and so on. So no one ever has an inkling of suspicion they are playing an android.

What do you think the first reactions would be to this new player playing HSNL? How long would it take until all the NL nosebleed superstars stopped giving it action?

If you dont adjust constantly to opponents tendencies, then you are exploitable

Uh, no. Unexploitable strategy is unbeatable. You can't exploit it. You can only be neutral EV against it at best.

bot if the bot plays unexploitable, where does his profit come from? How does he exploit other players? Dont you have to play exploitive to exploit someone's tendencies and make money?

Wow I don't know what is crazier, floating the flop OOP 30bb deep in order to overbet jam the river, or calling when you *only* beat an opponent who was floating the flop OOP 30bb deep in order to overbet jam the river. Also lol ziigmund.
05-15-2008 , 06:22 AM
that hand is fairly ridiculous.
05-15-2008 , 07:03 AM

I dont think its possible to play an unexploitable strategy that doesnt take opponents tendencies into consideration
