HSNL DECEMBER **** THREAD HSNL DECEMBER **** THREAD

That documentary was boring as hell, the same thing over and over. The whole millionaire story was just not a story and was dragged on like it was some sort of gigantic world conspiracy, all he was talking about was being a loser in high school which wasn't very interesting either, seems like you could make a good documentary about him, alas that was not.

yea I was waiting for it to get good....

I thought the documentary was awesome, and really enjoyed the link.

High school is attractive to me not because you necessarily have a good time, but because its clear why you are miserable. This, this, and this, as opposed to real life, post-highschool life, you can be miserable and not have a clear idea what makes you miserable. Dissatisfactions are more vague, more amorphous. Highschool is an abridged version of real life, and its abridgement adds clarity and that clarity is comforting.

Thought that was awesome and very true.

Think he got ****ed over on millionaire, think his obsessive nature to be the best at things is awesome.

I'm tilted that I don't know why the **** he didn't use a lifeline on the 16k question.

Edit: I agree with Dean, that the documentary wasn't done too well (but definitely not terribly) But Rick Rosner, himself, is awesome.

Maybe it's related to the reason he wouldn't let it go that he got a question wrong.

I get that, its just he seemed so confident, they didn't show him using any lifelines previously (obviously if he did, then those questions would be relevant.)

The fact that it was ambiguous to him, and the 16k question being very crucial and a phone a friend being basically a "freebie" for this type question as I'm sure he has somebody with the internet near a phone. I find it amazing he wouldn't phone a friend if he had that lifeline.

At Fallsview Noah Schwartz was like 5 tables over from me and I wanted to punch him in the face for being so ****ing annoying.

This thread is prob the best sushi thread on 2p2 http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/34...i-meal-189022/.

I agree with others about Montreal sushi, in the sense there are no truly transcendent places, but lots of good places. Although tbh there are very few fine dining restaurants in Montreal that I have found to be incredibly good.

Nothing is wrong with queue de cheval. It's overpriced yes, steak is abit better then ok, But it's still a nice dinning experience i always get incredible service when going there. Moishes decour is awful, the time ive been the service was awful, the steak was bad.

My favorite steak house is gibbys,
Montreal restaurents I enjoy: milos( greek), chez lepicier, ( french) toque( french), Cavallis , Les enfant terrible( french), cafe ferreira( sick portugese)

are there any HSNL'ers who have made it there without a coach, is it pretty much essential?

If you're not one of the 20 best players in the world, chances are there's someone you could hire to coach you who would make you much better.
