Everyone prob thinks I'm a fish, wearing full tilt jersey headphones/etc. Just won a tourney for 5k, and when highest game going was 2/5, i got a 10/20 game going vs a huge fish... but would be playing 10/20nl anyway.

Huge fish limps blind, I make it $120 otb w/QQ (2k effective stack), sb asks how much im playing (so i think he has a pair)... guy just bought in for 5k, played 2-3 orbits, havent seen him do too much. def playing some pots. fish calls too.

T92dd flop. SB check calls $250. (fish folds).
turn Qx - SB check calls $515.

At this point I think he has a flush draw or JJ.
River 8x. SB bets out $1200 pretty quick.

I only have $1100 behind. But it reaaaaallly looks like he has a JJ here.

But it's only $1100 into a pot of $2900.

I said well I guess I'm owned by JJ, and called w/the off chance he had a missed fd, but obv he showed up w/JJ and shipped.

Getting a real good price, but I think I'm 80%+ sure he has JJ.

So is this actually a fold live? I should just stick to online.

Seems like a very easy fold because a lot of Jx hands are in his range. Bet bigger on flop/turn.

You bet 250 into 360 against a huge fish? bet more

on turn the pot is 860 and you bet 515? BET MOREEE

Draws on the board, the opponent showed he wanted to play the hand by his pre question, you must bet much more on the turn.

if your 80% sure he has a J, then $1100 into $2900 is nowhere near 80%, go with your read and fold.

tons of reasons to trash op

bet more on flop and much more on turn cos it's too drawy

On the turn, you asked villain to put in $515 for a chance to win the $1375 in the pot plus an additional $1100 in your stack. He only needed 4.5:1 to make the draw correct.

In the future, charge him more to beat you, or get better at sniffing out these tough river spots and finding a fold (when appropriate.) In either case, it's a mistake to give players correct implied odds to stack you.

Because of stack sizes and earlier bets, the turn and river are going to be awkward no matter how you do it. I would be big on the turn because when he misses he will check/fold a lot so you want to gain your value from the turn and then let the river play itself. Against some live players i'd shove turn.

he just sent ya to valuetown. bet more.

In my experience at the live 10/20 games in Las Vegas, this is an easy fold.

you must call if you think that for the reasoning of there is more flush draw combos then JJ combos

and 380 in the pot on flop. you bet 250 on a super coordinated board in a 3 way pot

880 in the pot on the turn. you bet 515

you don't play well

you have QQ which is outs to a good combo of draws out, punish people for playing draws when youre holding a decent % of their outs.

no wait, do as u do and bet 2/3 pot then less then 2/3 pot when a pot sized bet on both streets is far and away the best play, its not a debate

omg head asplode
