****.

Just found out that my aim account is online right now and is talking to people

Dont talk to me on aim. Dont pm me. Dont transfer with me. Forget my old aim name I will make a new one in the future. If you are not talking to me on the phone then assume you are talking to an impersonator.

I am not home and will not be home for an hour or so. If you are talking to me online it is not me!

The guy is asking for transfers to TEAM BLADE U (Ithaca) on Stars, DO NOT TRANSFER TO THIS PERSON.

I am on the phone with Steve now to decide what needs to be done, stars has been emailed and is aware of this stars account.

I had Jon change all my passwords... only to find out that he hacked Jon too...

For the forseeable future, if you do not speak to me by phone (on a phone number you got from someone who personally knows me) then assume that you are not really talking to me.

Thankfully the first person who this guy tried to scam was driverseati and Jon immediately picked up on the scam.

If I take the computer to someone and just tell them to wipe the whole thing clean is there a chance of the hackedness lingering? I am not tech savvy at all, does it make sense to just toss the laptop in the trash and start fresh or is that going way overboard?

just reformat your hd, no need to buy a new computer. Put in your windows disc (assuming you are using windows) into your cd drive, when it loads use the auto play feature and boot from disc. I might be careful what i back up if i were you though.

If anybody was contacted by the hacker (some time after 6 am or whatever) please save your chat logs so that they can be used as evidence. send me a PM here if he contacted you and if you still have the chatlog

Thanks,
Steve

Locking this thread because I made threads in 3 different forums when I first found out about this in an attempt to get the word out and now that the guy has been identified and stopped discussion in 3 forums of me being stupid enough to get my computer hacked is probably unnecessary.

For advice on how not to get hacked post in the internet gaming or computer technical help forums.

For discussion about this "I blade U / MrSmokey1" scammer please go to the thread in NVG or MTTc
