You're feeling his timing sync? Fold's fine on hand merits. Even pre-riv you're just running into a lot of gin hands.

Raise turn. Or does he check flop with QQ+ a lot / check turn with QJ KQ?

Shove all-in on the river, he won't be able to take the heat. Now the pressure is back on him. Also checking back the flop is bad. You should be utilizing your aggression and take it down right there when he incorrectly showed weakness. Aggressive poker = winning poker. By not being aggressive you put yourself in a difficult spot.

River fold is just bad. He might have AQ himself. You can't fold. Only if you are very sure he is never bluffing.
