Calvin Ayre (bodog guy) on 'Black Friday':
"But to really poke them in the eye, rumors are now circulating in the industry that two of the indicted poker rooms do not have the funds to pay out all the players, suggesting that players are going to lose their balances. "

Very scary.... he would be someone who would have inside knowledge. He is talking about UB/FTP im guessing.

He's also somebody with significant interest in seeing his competitors lose their player base to him. Pretty unprofessional imo for somebody in his position to be posting rumours.

From the Pokercast episode with PokerStars Steve he made it sound like they were actively working with the DoJ to reach some sort of agreement to allow the transfer of FPPs to cash value. Made it sound like it was something that they couldn't do without DoJ approval or maybe the DoJ wasn't interested in allowing that. Not really sure.

i don't have inside knowledge of the situation but i'd be surprised if that's even him writing it. back during the isildur/hastings "scandal" "he" posted an article or two about the situation and i was like...ummm why the fk does Calvin Ayre care about this? conclusion i came to after reading some other entries was that it wasn't him writing.

IMO, all one has to do is examine how differently pokerstars and full tilt have handled their business since black Friday to feel pretty insecure about their money on full tilt. the two sites were on equal footing with the DOJ when the DOJ released their latest statement... stars was transparent with informative statements as they worked behind the scenes, and have already solved the issue and started processor withdrawals. compare that to the way full tilt has handled their business, the statements theyve released, etc...

would love to hear from anyone related to full tilt on the subject.... durrr, brandon Adams, or anyone else championing how safe our money was on full tilt when black Friday happened.

Pretty surprised by that, always thought of him as a Mark Cuban type.

That is the point. But I'm sure the first thing their lawyers told them was to STFU.

Hopefully Durrr and BA held equity stakes in FTP so we aren't stuck trying the garnish the wages of Matusow and Gus (among others) to get out money back.

What does Apathy have to do with any of this?

What do the random FTP pros have to do with this at all?

i mentioned brandon adams because he had a series of tweets on or around black friday insinuating that the people at the top of pokerstars are dishonest and crooked whereas there was absolutely nothing to worry about on full tilt. i mentioned durrrr because after the funds were frozen he seemed confident enough that full tilt would return everyone's money to offer a $1m freeroll, so i'm hoping he has some knowledge he can share that would reassure everyone.

if you've been actually doing transaction based business (cashouts AND deposits) with FTP since November of 2010, I don't think any of their actions after Black Friday should shock you. they have millions in uncleared deposits from echeck deposits and had cashout delays throughout the start of this year that took months (yes plural) to resolve. all the while support was able to respond to 1-2 emails a week with as little information as possible.

i still think FTP money is probably still worth close to 100 cents on the dollar, but i think expecting any sort of level of professionalism close to PS in this manner is a dubious proposition despite durrrr's tweets.

cleary there is stuff going on behind the scenes that we aren't going to be privy too, but once PS does what it's done in handling this mess all the excuses go out the window.

qft, Pokerstars again showed why they are far and away the #1 site.
