Man some people are total *******s on this site. If you take two seconds to think before you spew this ****ass post, you'd realize that there are compelling arguments to call/raise/fold on every single street of the hand and I think each decision would have merit. Just because it ended up being a good result for me doesn't mean that I played the hand the best that I could have. I posted the results (1) because people tend to want to hear results after the discussion (2) it's a pretty surprising result, and (3) it really reinforces how table dynamics plays a role in the decisison.

But thanks for this post, dip****.

exactly what i was going to say

oh one more thing is that his riverbet doesnt really make sense because his flop and turn line is clearly a strong one pair type hand. but then the river bet isnt congruent with that so either the flop/turn or the river bet is dishonest, and because of that i guess just calling the river has some merit. for me, normally i would just fold turn and wait until i get a good hand becuase poker sucks i just want $$.

You know, Id prolly just throw away on the turn. If you call the turn you gotta call river, his continuation firing here has got to be close to 100%. A turn stop-and-go with a river barrel is a pretty strong line - im inclined to think your behind here.

you seem to have above average tilt control (and table selection if u play for a living)

as for the hand, i like a fold on the river as i dont think you are going to get him off a straight if hes blowing off some steam in a 25/50 kiddie game...i also like the idea of a raise on the turn...

i guess at the end of the day though, why try to be a hero against ted forrest when you are there for the fish...

I went off on that guy because he was acting like a total diiick in another thread as well and he's just a waste of space on these forums. And I agree that I should have just been concentrating on the fish. One of the reasons I called pre with that and was because the fish was in the BB and I thought I'd bring him in. Nevertheless, the way Ted had been playing for the hour (I know this game is nothing for him), he sort of turned into a fish as well.
