Poker variance is defined as statistical measures that determine how your cards and results will pan out. It is mainly about advantages and how they play out and repeat themselves over a long period of time while playing the game of poker. According to this concept, if you are consistently ranking higher than those you are playing against, you win. This is how many world-famous poker players determine their skill. The downside is that if a professional poker player relies on their poker fluctuations as part of their game and confidence, they are suddenly finding themselves at a struggle if they start going through a losing streak. The losing streak determined by these short-term fluctuations causes a player to sort of lose touch with the game, giving them a bigger disadvantage since they are subconsciously less aware of their surroundings.
