Nice video, but what is the point of moving up if your win rate halves and you're bringing in the same money, albeit with higher variance? Do you just mean initially until you adjust to the higher level?

Hey Pokie,
Basically (without going into the math / theory here), the more winnings impact your bankroll, the more significant they are for your bankroll and it's rate of growth.
You can imagine the case that a 200NL player wins a $1000 pot very rarely, whereas a 400NL player wins $1000 pots fairly frequently, probably several a session. If your bankroll is $10000, then winning $500 bets at a greater variance gives you more potential to play higher and win more.
There are other positive effects of moving up as well, one at which you hinted: games are tougher, but you have a clearer path to adjust your game to 'survive' or to thrive. There's some math involved in proving the idea, but hopefully that helps for now!
