Hi guys,

What to do here? min raise/call? open fold?

Thanks

Hero (BTN): 460 (23 bb)
SB: 805 (40.3 bb)
BB: 235 (11.8 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BTN with Q T
Hero raises to 40, SB folds, BB raises to 235 and is all-in, Hero folds

Spoiler:
Results: 90 pot
BB mucked and won 90 (50 net)

assign vilain a range depending on your notes, look at your equity against this range and the pot odds you are given. should take you 2 min on equilab

A bit tricky, always felt that SNG grinders probably play this spot better than spin people

Anyway, some considerations:

1. We're not under any pressure to play hands on the BTN as winrate when we fold is just 0 chips, and any open will always only be profitable for a few BB/100, also getting to HU is important and most likely you'll have a higher edge there

2. That said, when I choose to open here, you should always have a plan for what to do vs a rejam. Plan your hand preflop, plan your hand on the flop, is good advice generally.

3. I personally would only open if we have a minraise fold, so if villain on BB is either passive or respects the fact that at this stackdepth we can minraise call 80% of our range

4. You could also argue for a limp here, which is fine versus passive BB too, especially if he's terrible post flop (stacks off light)
