Showdown and non-showdown winnings Showdown and non-showdown winnings

Have been checking my PokerTracker graph for the last 1,5 month so far. And it shows a clear image of my showdown and non-showdown winnings. My showdown winnings is going up, but my non-showdown winnings goes down.

All these games have been played at the 1,5s and 3,5s. Most players at these levels are either stations or maniacs, and thus I would believe it's normal to have a high showdown winnings, but low non-showdown winnings.

But I'm not sure if I'm right or if I indeed have got some leaks that causes my non-showdown winnings to be this low?

Thanks for the link, but pretty much knew what was said.

The problem I have is that people at these levels are mostly either stations or maniacs.

I would believe against these types of players, that it is okay to take a little loss in non-showdown winnings, but on the other hand gain big in the showdown winnings. Because the way I play both stations and maniacs is, I raise a smaller range and bet mostly when I got a good hand. Still cbet with air on dry boards, but I'm only 3betting, cr'ing and double barreling when I got something. I cant' see how you can play these types any other way?

And that's why I'm asking if it can he just fine to have a negativ non-showdown winning at these levels?

For most people the red line is a vanity metric, i.e. it's not really actionnable. Concentrate on each hand and each street, and you'll do fine.

I would though suggest you experiment a bit. Be careful not to be too "boxed in" in a style. If you need to, set aside a budget where you force yourself to take a different (more aggro) approach vs some players and see how they react.

For instance, if they call the flop very wide, then cbetting more can be profitable if they end up folding too much on the river.
