lol malta. i lock myself out of my apartment so i go to a maintenance guy ive never seen before and say hey i locked myself out. he lets me in no questions asked, no id, no nothing. it seems the burgling in malta is way more profitable than poker ever could be.

what do you guys drink in clubs?
I usually drink beer but i´m tired of visiting the toilette every 10 minutes, so i need something to keep a nice buzz with a higher alc. percentage than beer thats not too expensive in the grand scheme of the evening. (i like to stay below 20(max 30€ per evening)

Drink a stronger beer.

Goldsen Strong ales are ideal for something like that, they are still that pale straw yellow color, but can come in 8-10% ABV. It's a belgian style, I'm not sure how easy it is to find it outside the US and Belgium though.

Dopplebocks, double IPAs, imperial stouts and a few others are worth considering too.

You'll have 2-3 glasses of these and probably be drunk. They will also taste great too (assuming you pick a somewhat decent example of the styles).

I drink white russians or whiskey usually when there's no good beer. At least historically, I might switch that up, I always seem to have too much.

i also always wondered what white russians taste like but never manage to find them on the card and just choose something else instead of bothering the barkeeper.

If you want to get drunk cheap you could get drunk before you go out. Play some drinking games with a couple of your friends before you leave. Beer pong is a classic and always fun but there are tons of card games and others out there too.

Question bitch is a fun one for example. Is that known in the USA?

Advice on drinking games is welcome btw, I'm leaving for college in 3 weeks and I want to try as much as possible during my first few weeks to decide which ones I like best.

obv thats part of the plan but we usually go out from 23:00 to 5:00
Cant drink that much before you go out to stay buzzed the whole night unless you want to black out before you´ve left the house

Where are you staying, downtown? I can do you one better and only suggest ones that are public transportation/shortish taxi ride away.

Unless you have a driver/car ride or want to spend up to an hour ride each way to seek out the best of the best, but I'd only recommend that for a serious beer drinker. For example, one of the best breweries in the world is an hour away, Three Floyd's. Their use of hops is second to none (their food menu and decor is solid too).

I'm not staying downtown, I live like an hour away and just visit friends there from time to time. I always enjoy trying different beers that I haven't had before, but I'm far from a connoisseur. Any recommendation of good places would be appreciated. Checking out Three Floyd's sometime sounds like a good idea. I'm can't remember exactly which of their beers I've had but I recall liking them all.
