Im sorry everytime when I hear that good people like you willing to stake someone are getting scamed.

This really suck and I hate morons like this one who are spewing someone else's money! This is one of the most stupid things in the world - someone to trust you and then you to blow off his money because you're dumb ass!

So - I am not sure but I like to think that PokerStars can help here. Like to block his account and he will never play there again! (at least not with his real name and account). Isn't there anyone at PokerStars who handles this issues?

Unfortunately it's not that easy Gio. I think Stars will say that they have nothing to do with these kind of agreements between two players, which is obv true. The risk is always at the Staker. Not to mention that I also hate scammers, but there is few what you can do.
Afaik ususally the Staker demands for a passport copy, a scanned bill to varify the adress and an legit telephone number (not from a mobile). Ofc it could be faked, you can never be 100% sure, but it's more difficult to fake all these stuff.

^^ IMO, probably best to PM his personal info. (address etc.) to Xereles and whomever can help (in case there is a misunderstanding or w/e). But I have no issues if scumbags' addresses are revealed publicly..like child molesters, let the world know who these *******s are.

First of all I would just like to mention that my mate Jay (Adversity) was brought into this because we shared a PGC thread. I only know him through 2p2 and he had no involvement whatsoever in what happened here.

Secondly, I would just like to apologise to Xereles for my actions. He's a really nice guy and I couldn't regret more what i've done. Not only because of the impact that it's had on my reputation and name, but I was given a great opportunity which I royally screwed up. I made a massive mistake, but I would like to point out that other well known people in this forum have made mistakes in their past and have earned respect back/been given a second chance (not that this is what I am asking for). I have terrible BRM and I tilt easily (not so much at the tables, but with the stakes i'm playing). I lost Xereles' $4500 playing MTTs which I shouldn't have been playing and I accept that I owe him this. My lack of contact with him over the past week has been down to me obviously trying to win it back.

I'm not really too fussed about the personal information of mine being posted on here. Xereles has my address and if he really wanted to, he could send somebody round to my house, but i'm skint, so there really would be little point of that. My plan is to pay Xereles back in instalments over time (and I will contact him directly to discuss this with him), but it may take weeks/months/whatever because I just don't have the money to pay him at the present time.

I'd just like to point out that I never actually set out with the intention of scamming Xereles, but I am sure that there are people that can relate to the scenario that people who have problems with gambling lose all of their rationality and make decisions that you wouldn't comprehend under normal circumstances. I would just like to reiterate that I am sorry for my actions and I would like a chance to put things right over time, given the opportunity.

Outside the scam topic itself: Don't you think it would be better for you if you were banned from Stars (and other sites)? Lending money, losing it, trying to win it back, losing more etc. Sounds like you know well enough you have a gambling problem.

Yeah it did not look or feel like a planned scam, I did see that you played normally first.. but when I said you could shottake a few 100$ because things were going well it seems like you tilted and did not move back down.
I'd be fine with an installment payback plan. I'm not sure I believe that you were trying to win back enough to pay it back however, seeing as you played 1k hyperturbos yesterday. Certainly seems like you had a certain amount of money in your account long after you said you tilted and lost it "all".

This is a good start. If you make good on your word, and, I think, some reimbursement for Xereles's trouble, you deserve respect at least for facing what you've done. I wish for both of you this resolves well.

Oh, and fwiw, playing a 1k is fairly clearly a desperate attempt to get unstuck. At least I, and a lot of HU players I know have had those impulses. It's pretty bad, and he's responsible, but it happens.

scam threads always make me sad to read, but pleasantly surprised there is already a response from Brocky itt, an apology and a promise to pay back. That's certainly the way to go, and hopefully it works out well for both parties.
