NASH vs SAGE NASH vs SAGE

Hi there,

fairly new to the HU SNG game so I'm just learning about the NASH and SAGE systems. Just noticed something that made me wonder.
So I hold 74s on the btn with 9bb (bb30, my stack 265) left.
NASH suggest push with as much as 13.9 effective bb.
However calculating my power index with SAGE gives me only 20, not even enough to push had I only had 2bb left (PI21 needed).
Could someone point out where my calculating is off or maybe explain why the difference above?

See SAGE as the simplified version of Nash.
Meaning, tons of accuracy is removed out of SAGE to enable to create something that is easier to remember.
Consequently, when playing online, Nash is better then SAGE because you can print the table & look at it and have maximal accuracy w/o the problem of having the remember something.

I was looking at pushfoldcharts.com would these be good charts to use or would you suggest another source. It says to push 45s at 16 bb can that really be unexploitable?

Don't use any charts. Maybe some default thing like ROFL vs a readless player, or some 3bet shoving charts vs certain common opponent types. But always understand when and where to deviate, you can't build a chart that is better than properly adjusting to what you see vs most opponents. Opponents just aren't that common and they offer too much edge deviating a bit against.

If it were this easy bots would be crushing HUSNGs to the highest levels and that just isn't happening.

SAGE is for playing offline in casinos when you don't know NASH (mostly) by heart. Online use NASH (< 8 bb).
