anyways, this is amazingly stupid on their part, but not surprising. i remember they called ITTWU a fish for asking them to turn off their doomswitch button him. their support is obviously not the best and brightest, but id suggest sending a PM to fulltiltdoug, or w/e his name is, im sure he will be able to help you out. at the very least you should start a petition on here and maybe 2p2 will be able to get you back on fulltilt soon. gl with everything dude.

btw i still have no idea what u were trying to tell me at the tables the other day. did u want to team those 720s, or were u just trying to tell me that you wouldnt take offence to me sitting the 720s so that you could crush me?
ty i will try that out man

Go to a psych, have yourself examined, and ask for an official note that sais you are not a risk-person for suicide. In that way FTP can cover their ass if they decide to let you play again.

i mean, how many people have done extremely dumb things when drunk?
not implying that you were drunk, but taking serious steps after one email that could very well have been written completely boozed and incapable of reasonable actions is just an unprofessional overreaction imo.

good luck with your situation.

if you went up to a pit boss in a casino and told him "i am so ****ing sick of losing i'm going to my room and shooting myself"...i think they would have a similar response as full tilt. i think perma-ban is completely absurd, but they can't risk that kind of liability by not doing anything or just giving you a 2 day ban.

how does a full time high stakes professional still get so tilted that they send an email like this to support?

agree with others though, contact ftpdoug, get written psych assessment, take depression class or whatever, just something to prove you're not a suicide risk and that can clear them of liability. pretty sure there was a thread in bbv a month or two ago about a guy who had his account closed for the exact same reason, maybe search for that and see what advice bbv gave. (Assuming they gave any )

Tell them that your account was hacked by your ex girlfriend who you just dumped to play more poker and she wanted revenge. Of course you should do it in your first email.

i think FTP is right to do this. If someone would complain my service drove them to suicide i would not let them use it anymore for sure.

OP needs to get a new account or go to stars and stop sending tilt e-mails to support.

I think FTPs perma ban was pretty harsh imo. I think a 1 month ban woulda been plenty sufficient and even that would suck. So now I have a question for everyone. How many of you know iloveyou1 or talk to him? I know I do and he's one of the nicest guys you will ever meet and will 100% go out of his way for u to help you out. I feel like if enough of us emailed ftp threatening to remove our funds from their site if they dont reconsider their decision for iloveyou1 they may actually reconisder. I dont know if it will help but its worth a shot. If I can gather more people so send ftp an email id be down to 100% send them an email (obv we are bluffing but it cant hurt). Anyone think Im just ******ed?

I'm with FTP here. Mailing them that you would commit a suicide was pretty dumb. Unfortunately no more cartoon avatars for you

1. PM FTPDoug here on 2+2
2. Get someone from full tilt on the phone. IMO it's a lot easier for them to stand firm on their decision if you only email them. Actually speaking to someone higher up will give you a better chance of getting the decision overturned.

This is really terrible for you, and I feel bad about this, I can imagine how awful it'd be, but unfortunately what you did was just not very smart. This has happened to people before, too, you should've been careful.

Wow shocked that FT took this decision, being the money hungry corporation they are, would never have expected them to ban a high raking player for life.

But i think you are all to blame. Tilt all you want, but with suicide threats there is no joking around in poker, for obvious reasons. Remember about an incident on stars where a player was threatening to kill himself at the table or something, and a stars moderator called the police to his house, think its in a thread here on 2p2. Clearly sites really frown upon those kinds of threats.

Take a break imo,so you don't seem completely desperate to full tilt support, try to reason with them after a few weeks and explain that you would never try to do that etc.

I agree with the getting a doctor's note thing. I'd do this without even asking them. Go to a board certified psychiatrist and get a written letter specifically saying you're not suicidal and that poker is positive for your life. Then get 1 or 2 friends to write a letter for you too. Scan these all and email them to FTP and be persistent. That way they can cover their asses this way too. If you do kill yourself they could be like, we had a doctor's approval and witnesses saying he was stable and not a problem gambler.

But first I would just try opening a new account. I think in this case no one would look down on you for that.

Mods should move this to internet poker forum as that's where FTP staff are and where it's relevant.
