Ok,

So this weaksauce idiot on FTP called timmytimmy has been getting upset at his recent "downswing" and the fact that Dopey, joho and myself keep sitting him. Dopey in particular has been raping him but according to timmy he's "weak".

Anyways, this kid has got it into his head that me and joho are the same person using two different accounts and that me, dopey and joho all live in the same house and we all like share information or collude or something.

The other night we were sitting at a 6max $50 NL table with 3 random players playing vs each other. Obviously this was just for a laugh, not colluding or anything and those two stacked me like once each.

So timmy sees us at the same table and assumes this means something significant. Now he's been going round to every table we sit and telling other fishregs that they should be suspicous of us, we're multi accounting and stuff.

When asked how he knows he always spouts off this **** like "trust me i know, i'll send you more info in an e-mail". Then the other fishregs start believing him and MAXSHARK even said "i will report immediately", based upon timmy's amazing evidence.

Timmy has also sent an email to FTP about this supposed discovery he has made.

So i'm kinda worried FTP will get a few e-mails from these idiots basically gossiping and then spaz out and ban us or something when we've done nothing wrong and it's basically just timmy stiring up crap.

Just wondering what everyone else thinks. Obviously we've done nothing wrong by sitting him or sitting at a 50nl table playing fairly, but i'm concerned they might spaz out.

Cliffs-

- Timmytimmy upset dopey is owning him, makes up conspiracy.

- Sends email to FTP

- I'm concerned this could end up getting twisted when we've done nothing wrong

I started out with reg speeds, went to turbos, thought they were super fast and wondered how anyone could play them.

I then found reg speeds to be so slow that I might slowly go insane if I had to play them and wondered how anyone could play.

Cog has suggested that I play more reg speeds, so I started doing that. Now I like reg speeds and think turbos are too fast and wonder how anyone could play them. :s

Hi guys,
I`m new kid on the block here

I`m givin a shot to HU SNG at BossMedia (IPN) Network.

Those HU sngs are with 5 minutes blinds and starts w/ 15/30, then 25/50, 50/100, 100/200 etc.

With that structure those are reg speed or turbo maybe ?

When deciding if an all-in is a bluff, do you ever consider the following? Or if you are shover, do you every think of this.

You have $500, villian has $1000. If he shoves the $1000, he is trying to intimidate, so it more likely he wants a fold. If he bets $500, he is making it look small, so it more likely he wants a call. Obv, both bets are same.

As the bettor, do you use this based on villian thinking level? Obviously the above works for a level 1 thinking villian, but if he wise to this, you can reverse it?

Or do you just always shove ur stack, always bet villians stack or always bet $750?

Any edge here or this totally a waste to even think about?
When shoving, I consistently go all-in so as to eliminate the possibility it could be used as a tell against me. Plus it helps that some will interpret it as "strong means weak" when I usually have the goods going all-in, thus inducing borderline calls in rare cases, I would imagine.

As for trying to read what it means when villain does it, when they go all-in it could be anything and probably is just what it is, a good hand. I do notice they tend to have the goods even more often when they size the bet to match my stack. An even more reliable tell that they are super strong is when they size the bet to be a bit under my stack, almost putting me all-in but not quite, leaving me with 100-300 or so if I call on the river. That is a very reliable tell that they have the nuts or close to it. Kinda like villain MIN-4-betting preflop. It's always AA/KK.

unfair? unethical?
WHATEVER IT TAKES to get the money is ethical in this game. I think there are too many methicals (apologies to Madea). If granny shows me her hole cards at the casino, Im going to stack her. If I know your ROI is 10% using the technological means at my disposal, Im not going to sit you. And just to make it fair, I hope you stack me if I show you my hole cards at the casino, and I hope you make whatever decisions are in YOUR best financial interest when deciding whether to sit me or not. That's fair, that's ethical, and thats what it takes to get the money.

Although I will say in a live game someone mucked their cards when they should have won the main pot and I voluntarily stacked off $83 to them even though the pot had already been shoved my way because I liked him, he's a nice guy, and there was no doubt he had the superior hand, and he was drinking and I wanted to earn it later on the old fashioned way, which I did. So sometimes I'm a softy. But usually not.

Oh i thought u were leveling before lol. Ya, december 1, 2009 was supposed to be the day the UIGEA went into full effect. Check out the poker legislation forum and PPA forum under the general poker subset of twoplustwo. There you will find important threads about the UIGEA and its 6 month delay. It is a HUGEEEE deal, even though a lot of people in HU think it is miniscul. Trust me. Ive been following multiple threads in those forums for greater than 6 months, and this is a BIG step for online poker. It builds much needed momentum for upcoming things, ie the Frank legislation bill, etc etc. And without this delay, there was a possibility FT and Stars would have eventually pulled out of the US market if seizures of funds kept occuirng, etc etc.....now that this is delayed, status quo remains until June 2010, and by then legislation has a possibilty to be passed and the <"}}}}}}}>< will be plentiful once they hear that US poker is legalized (even though it is still legal to play now- most fish dont know this and are scared to depsoit)
