Thanks. So if you both end up at the final table, you immediately do a 50/50 deal? And if you play each other first round, can one of you agree to just autofold to the other one so you can go ahead and focus on other things and win the other match? Take turns on that?

On stars you have to ship all-in first hand anytime you're playing with a partner afaik.

You settle up via transfer.

This is to make sure there's no illusion of dumping.

any tips on helping to make moving up in stakes easier? should i just play like small sets and see how it goes or something? any tips would be helpful.

Try not to read the buyin when you're joining a game (format it so that you click in the same place as your previous buyin) and just pretend and play like its a lower stakes game. Thats what I do. Seems to work wonders

Make sure that your bankroll is large enough for you not to worry about the buy-in. If losing 2 games in a row upsets you, your bankroll isn't large enough imo.

Doesn't have much to do with the Kelly criterion, but rather personal confidence and "mental peace".

yea. This is super important imo. Be as confident as you can without your ego getting the better of you. Its a fine line though.

hmm. Do you ever wonder why so many players call you terrible in chat? Serious question. I've never played you. But I've always wondered.

well aside from the fact I actually may not be good....I think when I beat someone they think to themselves, "wow how did I lose to a guy whose SN is a meaning for a dog's erect penis" - this is my theory anyway

*EVERY DAY. TWO WORDS. EVERYDAY (ONE WORD) MEANS "MUNDANE, OR COMMON". IF YOU MEAN "ALL DAYS", IT IS TWO WORDS, NOT ONE

IAODUIHFNKJSFHKSHFKJSFKSLHFJKSHFSKJL THIS IS THE SINGLE WORST GRAMMAR PET PEEVE I HAVE. WORSE THAN ITS/IT'S, WORSE THAN YOUR/YOU'RE, WORSE THAN THERE/THEIR/THEY'RE. ALL OF THOSE COMBINED.

Full Tilt Poker $50 + $2.50 Heads Up No Limit Hold'em Tournament - t10/t20 Blinds - 2 players
The Official 2+2 Hand Converter Powered By DeucesCracked.com

Hero (BTN/SB): t1200 M = 40
BB: t1800 M = 60

Pre Flop: (t30) Hero is BTN/SB with 4 K
Hero raises to t60, BB calls t40

Flop: (t120) K 8 8 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets t80, BB raises to t1740 all in, Hero ponders.

He's kind agro but never seen an overbet before. He might have a king. But his raise seems extreme with good kings and I don't think he'd do this with bad kings. He might have an 8. He doesn't have an 8. Nobody does this with an 8. He'd just call with a pocket pair. He might have a flush draw. Ok, he has a flush draw. Ah whatever, screw it.

Hero calls t1060 all in

Spoiler:

Turn: (t2400) J (2 players - 2 are all in)

River: (t2400) Q (2 players - 2 are all in)

Final Pot: t2400
Hero shows 4c Kd (two pair, Kings and Eights)
BB shows 6c Ac (a pair of Eights)
Hero wins t2400

Typical low-level donkey b.s....oh so coy limping on button oh so coy minraising OOP oh so coy little raise...this is the kind of stuff that screams AA, not that it matters to you as you are holding AA but just for reference at these $5 donkefests it's so obvious. They say the fourth raise is always aces. At these microdonkaments, it's the SIXTH raise. Count them! Six Raises!!!

The guy was raising every button when I limped and calling every 3 bet I made, so it made sense to limp I thought. But yeah, I love playing hard to get.

I'm in awe of you.

Just make a new account, worst thing that can happen is that they close your old account.
Or mail support that you want rakeback, but some people I know said you then get on a kind of waiting list.
