yeah i had this problem with HEM HUD too

The only good solution i found was to temporarily make the normal click a right click and then dragging worked, I moved the HUD to a nice place, then restored normal clicking and haven't moved HUD since.

HM2 EV is hilarious, compared HM1 and HM2 graphs and they look totally different for the same hands/sessions.

Now lets examine what you said. I will mainly focus on statements/accusations.

then afterwards

And what is funniest of all after all of it you wrote, on the end you just add that maybe its all coincidence.

So let me ask you dear sir, are you even mildly aware what can this accusations bring(from forum admins banning me to people hunting me asking questions to my friends or even partners thinking i might be infecting them with viruses) ?

Will you stop for a second please, and ask yourself what could have you just do by writting all of this with special remark on the end - maybe its all coincidence

Good God...
Sorry

I think you misunderstand

There was a Spybot warning while the exe program was unpacking this was not co-incidence it deleted the exe program.

I found 2 key logger type trojans on my PC subsequent to this. I found another after my previous post.

Draw your own conclusion. I just pointed out that it may not have been your program that put them there and that Spybot can show false positives.

I really don't think you you should be bagging me for reporting accurately what happened and as a result of this I spent several hours running security stuff on my PC.

Obviously I am aware of what I was saying and I was not accusing you of anything. I was accurately reporting what happened. And you have the opportunity to respond.

My decision to alert the community was becasue I thought the potential harm from a trojan or keylogger was greater than the impact on one individual who has the opportunity to respond.

Question for Moderator

Question for mods, if you have a problem like this with something you download from one of the forums should you alert the community?

Alerting the community is one thing and obviously fine.

There was an attempt to install a key logger. But I think my paranoid level security saved me.

IMHO it would be easier for them to get my cash if they sat me at the tables.
This however is not fine with out proof imo.

Fair enough

In hindsight I should have saved the screenshot of the warning, and maybe some screens of the system stuff. But at the time I was more concerned about the potential threat.

I did think there was a chance I would get attacked by some people for doing this but I thought I should post my experience anyway.

From my point of view:
1. Download program
2. Security message when run
3. Keylogger found
4. Oh sh*t

I'm sure they'll fix it, restarting HEM after a session seems to do the job for now.

But it's still a bit buggy/slow anyways... but it looks promising, a lot of nice new features imo

omg sea monkeys no reason to apologise, if the software isnt malicious and they can prove it what does it matter, there will be endless trolling and flaming to come anyway. IMO this software should be snap banned and i will be emailing pokerstars expressing my views on it. I don't think we should be given the option to "hunt" people, and the empty lobby snapping will become redundant as soon as a few regs run it for the same stakes. I think the only person who will benefit from this software in the longterm (key word - longterm, sure it will be awesome in early days for those who use it) is the man making the $$$ from selling it, and when i look at the page and see it costs around $550 for a one year any stake license i could only laugh.

Because accusations hurt reputations chadders. Making them in such a way that you are certain they are true is wrong if there is any doubt at all. Sea monkeys should of presented his evidence and given msim the chance to answer to it. Then further investigations will bring out the truth either way, once the concerns have been raised.

context dude, anyone who runs a virus scanner and gets a positive and isn't tech savvy is going to jump to that response. Also the guy has a couple of hundred posts and is advertising software that will probably conflict with stars terms and conditions which he is trying to sell for up to $550 for a years license, where is the reputation in that?

The conflict of stars terms and conditions is another issue and not really relevant to monkeys post, i do agree with you on that one though.

Yeah its the jumping to conclusions part i dont agree with. Im not knocking monkey tbf i probably would of reacted the same way, just felt it was worth pointing out.

ok i want to shed some light on this software,

to start with im not overreacting to something someone said also im at uni studying computer science so im not a computer n00b :P

so first i went to get the program and multiple times i got this error thrown at me by ESET

so after getting this 4-5 time i killed the install and decided to so some digging.

it turns out that this is most likely a false-posiitive given to me by the threat sense engine. The main reson it would throw errors is due to with the scripting language used, that language is autoit!

Its designed to be an out of the box language that will let you manipulate the windows GUI (similar to AHK) how ever it doesn't require any run time libraries! This can cause security problems as it makes the program hard to kill and fight especially if it can replicate itself (a good way to kill high level language programs is to kill the libraries it needs to run) So most likly all security software is telling not to run it as it could manipulate what your seeing etc and cause alot of problems and it would be hard to stop.

It would be nice to have the developer come in and say if the program is designed in this language and if not why ESET is coming to that conclusion.

Cliffs
----------
1) probably not spyware
2) false positives are most likely to be thrown
3) possible programmed in autoit language
4) waiting on developer to replay to pass verdict

as an aside, though i like the idea i think like chadders0 it most likely is against stars T/S as you can "hunt people"

Ah the worlds of software and husng get mixed up

nice post betmagic, yeah msim is very likely to have made this with autoit., I believe that's his language of choice

fwiw ahk can compile to exe too with no dependencies, and when done so gets a similar large amount of false positives from av suites from time to time, it's the way they're paced / run - and it doesn't help they nearly always want to install "keyloggers" (how are you gonna turn keypresses into hotkey events without intercepting the keyboard?)

As to the value of the software itself, I can't really comment. I think >$500 is insane personally, but then I don't play $1k husngs! auto-sitting open lobbies is imo obviously not scalable past a few regs at each stake.

About a month I wrote a ~10 line ahk that makes a beep when the lobby goes empty, so I can read 2+2 while waiting to opensit. I might make it beep differently is a green player opensits, maybe... It's a bit clunky though, obv. not nearly as polished as this tool looks. That with my already posted single-click register script is enough for me for now
