If you're referring to my last post I'm actually very polite both on and off the internets/tables.

But yea, I'd agree.

lol. The guy won the first game, then lost the second, I wanted to play a 3rd and it got cancelled. I guess that means the $5 rake broke his roll. He had his entire roll on the line playing me in a $115.
really? i heard the rematch button was bugged so it cancels some times. Hmm it makes sence... its always canceled when they just lost a buy in

i just started playing these and have have pretty good success imo. but sometimes i get hesitant when i register because i see the player who is waiting for someone to register and i just see how dangerous his SN sounds and where his location is. i try not to play any americans and only people from europe/latin america. anyone else?

for what it's worth I'm much more likely to like a person online than I am if I met them in person first

At the $6-22 level, I have had the most success against Southern Americans, mostly Brazilians. Probably Canada would be next, than France and Italy. I felt most American opponents have been tougher on average at the low stakes. I just sit first and let fate decide.

EDIT: 3-9 for today now =/ My last opponent kind of owned me though.

Honored to be called a Yankee thankyou. not proud to say this but canadians imo are the most solid I've played against...that or they tilt me always just bc there from canada. Other than that anyone with weird accents or symbols in there location is usually god awful and has a SS graph of at least -20% down thousands..but they sometimes also play well.

Weird you say this, I 100% agree. Obviously sample size isn't representative because there aren't too many Canadians...but they're definitely better than the average Italian.

Lol..avoid Russians at all costs, as well as Fuzhou City..sickos.

I can't stand the French, cuz they're maniacs!

I thought it was the Italians who are widely regarded as the biggest donks? A few months ago there was a crew of Italians on deepstack no blind increase tables that thought they could sit regs and beat them...they went broke.

I just lost a 6 max sng to 2 colluders, no worries, because I reported them.

Button min. raised, I shoved with AK, cuz I read him as weak, and blinds were high, then get snap called by both of them with K3os (button raiser), and Q9os for 80% of their stacks.

MURRIKANS are very polar with regards to abilities from what I can tell -- they tend to be either good or terrible. Rarely just decent.

Agree with most Canadian players actually being better than average, for some reason.

Wow most canadian frogs that sit me are total droolers.. I lump them with French, Italians and Germans.

I am sure every nationality has its share of donkos.

Oh yeah, I forgot about Germans. They might be the easiest opponents I play on average. Germans, Brazilians, Canadians, Italians, and Frenchy's. Yum

everyone goes through it where everytime u have JJ the flop comes AKx and everytime u turn 2 pair the river completes a 4-straight and a 3-flush and u only get action when u flop nothin etc etc and it all happens at the same time right i feel like im ****in losin it sometimes if i looked closely do all ur graphs have steep 10-15 BI downers here and there?

Having said that, don't you think that if you're a GOOD player playing a style that lets you see A TON more flops (giving you many more opportunities to exploit a villain's mistakes), should allow you to somewhat decrease variance?

Obviously you have to be good post-flop though...

Compare livb's graph with Paul's...I would say Paul's graph shows less variance.

LivB:

Cog:

Note that I'm talking purely about variance, and NOT hourly or profitability. I do realize that livb plays higher stakes, so naturally there will be more variance...but you can just compare his graph to the average pro's graph, and you'll notice that he does seem to have less harsh swings.
Livb and Cog are far from similar players. In fact, I would argue that skilled plays more similar to livb than Cog does.

They do both 1 table a lot I believe, so they share that. But it's not like cog and livb are the only guys that play adaptively postflop, most very good players are very adaptive and capable of doing just about anything in any situation if it is called for.

Livb is just known for that trait (also helps he often single tables and he's super competitive) and Paul happens to be incredibly good at articulating and teaching it, especially considering he's not playing $550+.

There are definitely effective location stereotypes at higher stakes.

Anyone played with MOCA CHOCA at the 55s? I asked him not to sit me yet because I was shot-taking kind of underrolled but would be happy to play him when I had won a bit, and he was really cool about it and offered to chop though I didn't take him up on it because I don't want to deny a player action if he really wants to sit with me. Anyway, I coolered him three times for the win and he was just really polite and wished me luck and stuff building my BR and now I feel bad about taking his money. :s

I always said I hate bumhunters, but now I've become a huge hypocrite. I guess that actually needing the money will do that to you and I feel bad for talking down to/about bumhunters now.

Is macho_fo|d7 a familiar face in the $5600s bc I am watchin him 4 table after he was just getting deep in the WCCOP..and I have the feeling hes about to lose a **** load of high stakes of society to heybude if he keeps rematching 4 tbl turbos at a time.
