the 100 BI rule is pretty dumb imo, especially for live. Live you have such a bigger edge that you should do more around 30 BIs (depending on the size of the field and skill of players ldo). Also, as long as you have a plan on how to make the money back, and you can afford losing it, its ok to take shots at bigger games.

Yeah it's bad, but when you're on tilt, it's hard to stop, and I say this knowing full well I suffer from this mentality waaay more than healthy. It's degenerate behavior, but I think it's something a lot of players get anyway.

You know the players who play and play and snap decline when they lose? People make fun of them, but I am actually impressed at how they manage that.

50 bi is fine for live mtts if the field is weak and it's 40-100 people. 100-300 people, 75 buyins.

However, the WSOP fields are ******ed large (2k+), and 100bi is needed..

HOWEVER, because the WSOP is only a once a year thing, I don't fault anyone who makes 25-50k a year playing poker and setting aside 2.5-5k to play a few events..

I must say, thinking with logic is a lot easier when you're not feeling irrational or on mega life tilt.

I know only thought it was funny coming from you.

Btw you can consider your coaching from last tree done with me, after our chat in gmail, i pushed myself to play more turbos on ftp and start feeling much better with that format, i ran kinda bad and i still adapt poorly to superspewy players, but thank to you I ve increased my volume by alot while reducing my variance a bit compared to what i was playing before, and i crushed the leaderboard enought to be sure to be top3 at least this month.

@jackxer, avg stake was probably like 300 or so. it wasnt one day, more like past three or four but still annoying.

Ah, that's good. Sorry with all the mess, it was hard to find time, but don't hesitate to ask questions/send hand histories over if you're not sure about anything.

im not into shot taking when it comes to mtts. cash? maybe. ive played out of my bankroll at bit with cash and never felt pressured or too scared. and re not playing for a living, a few months after the wsop, i will be. but in general, i dont like larger buy in/ field mtts; id rather just grind out my stakes and work on my game

its not hard, you just tell yourself before the game starts that if you lose this is the last one you play

its easy to get in to constant rematching behavior but not if you set some rigid rules; much harder for cash games, I've still not figured out how to stop before losing 20 bi's

What are the chances that FTP will give me my buy-ins back from the two lobbies I was sitting this morning when my internet went out? Also, why don't they have an option to automatically unregister you from sngs when you disconnect?

im down 3.5k playing a lot of 110s and the rest 220s in 5 days as well. i hated poker with a passion until i took a break. how do u usually deal with downswings? just play through or self exclude?
