lol, yeah. I'm sat for life too in super turbos. What an idiot. I proposed to kick it up a notch and play $200 reg speeds but he always declines.

If you're gonna start beef, do it properly. Don't waste my ****ing time with that numbskull "sitting for life" **** in ST structure.

just the fact that you know the exact sum shows you are playing too high for your comfort.

Pretty nuts he has such a good win rate for someone who tries to play people who are good. I don't think he likes "wasting" his time by sitting alone. It's so weird. He chooses to play us but not wait 30 seconds for a non-reg.

He does play pretty well overall, imo.

To be honest I think "kicking it up a notch" by offering to play a different game is a little lame. Reminds me of waterblank who went around challenging people to HU4ROLLZ in limit holdem HUSNGs

I do not think he plays very well. his insane style can only work in this ST struturea against weak fishes. He played so poorly post flop, just tried to avoid any post flop play by keeping shovng and make some insane loose call.
now I even try to sit him since I think I get a decent edge.

I didn't. I only realized after looking at my cashiers to count the losses. I thought it was in the general 200 range and didn't really care to count exactly how much until I had to post. Yeah... I'm gonna move down to 30s for a bit to regain confidence and see if I move back up.

2 days ago :

You complain about running bad and losing flips (set on the river, no good!)

Yesterday :

You thank 2+2 for their help in you getting your best month ever, and get into a fight with a portuguese donk

Today :

You are tilted by your biggest losing day ever, the cash out curse may be to blame

Don't take this the wrong way, I just think you are expecting things to happen too fast in your poker career. Before you can be a "cool" high stakes reg you are going to have to suffer through many many brutal beats and if you don't change your mindset to develop a tolerance for variance you are doomed!

says the man who's losing to borderline in his prop bet

I'm just joking with you. no I definitely agree with you. tbh I wasn't really even tilted at the end. just more tired of bad run. and I'm sry 2p2 for being a whiney moody b*tch but naturally I tend to have mood swings so on certain days I'm like on top of the world, and other days it's like meh.

it's not as extreme as bi-polar disorder but I like to think of myself as emotionally dynamic haha.

meh, it's still NL Hold'em. I think it makes a ton of sense given the ST structure. You make most of your money in these from people not having a clue on how to play them.

In reg speeds, if you have an edge, it won't take as long to manifest.

I stopped posting all the time here because drunk posting is annoying to everyone.

Maybe you should stop posting and just play until you know what variance is like (I mean excluding strat posts).

oh and tbh this loss feels nowhere near as painful as my previous losses. I've been playing poker for a couple of years and played primarily cash before sngs and built roll up to 1100 then lost it all. and it wasn't like in one night but slowly over several months so it was soooo painful.

now I actually rebuilt my roll and, as to date, this has been the most I've ever lost in one night in terms of absolute numbers but nowhere in terms of proportion or emotional.

all in all I apologize if you guys are getting tired of me whining and then celebrating but it's just something you guys wouldn't understand... it's a Jersey thing.

yeah tbh plpaying deepstack I can't say I can really know what variance is. Like the extreme downswings that primo faces and stuff but I like to tell ppl what's going on with me (poker wise). I guess I should just post in the poker goals/challenge then.

we understand what you're feeling, but this is what poker friends (don't, they'll hate you) are for.

go post the swings in bbv, you'll usually get a sympathetic response

they are the 3000 blinds, 5 minute levels? How long do these take on average?

If anyone is break even in superturbo's less than 220 and has 400+ hh's at the level they want help at pm me, scroll back to find the post explaining what I'm doing with ST's using mostly math and data on specific opp's.

anyway I need one or two more and I'm fairly confident it will change the way you look at st's...

Obey the odds... BRM man BRM... everything else is short term.

another rule of thumb when running bad... more study less play. Even if at the end of reviews it comes to I was in good EVERY time and he sucked out... then you know you played that person well. More often you'll see you overplayed certain hands, or something you did EARLY put you in tough spots later... Also have a plan and take more time on all streets. Practice anti timing tells even ;x. This way if player does x, you will do y based on abc... range/eff stacks, ect..

k blah rambling. g'luck brm b.r.m.

even if not tilting you could be happily loosing money :-), but yeah I agree , being immune to suckouts would be nice.

I find I'm more prone to tilting when someone who's been raising every button out of nowhere folds to my aa lol, I know it's silly but that starts a mini tilt volcano.
